I bought this for the purpose of securing the water as the open bowls spill and it is a risk of mold growing. This was supposed to hold water securely and it spills worse than the open bowls do. Do not waste your money on this junk very cheaply made flimsy a rip off

Easy set up. Sturdy & easy to clean however the spout is so narrow/small & makes it difficult for birds to eat. As a water dispenser also hard for birds to sip if the water even stays in the tube.Water does not stay in tube as it should. Leaks out.

So as the title says, this water dispenser is great in theory and does work to some degree, but using it isn't all that easy or efficient. Upon filling the bottle up and turning it over into the feeding position, you have to be extremely careful transporting and placing it back on to the cage, because if you're not holding it perfectly level and steady, it will spill over. You also inadvertently always getting some spillage at that initial flip, and anytime your bird rubs up against it. Basically put, the slightest nudge, tap, or bump will cause the water in the feeding portion of the assembly to always spill over. Speaking of the assembly, it is not of the best quality. Cheaply made, even if you wanted to keep it, I can't see it lasting very long. I really had high hopes for this water dispenser, but it just doesn't work well in a bird cage atmosphere, especially if you have to change your water frequently. Stick to the tried-and-true traditional water bowl or dish and save yourself the aggravation and hassle this dispenser will cause.

I have 4 budgies and usually use a smaller glass version that I refill daily. I bought this so I could go away for 4 days and they would still have water. It was very easy to fill, it has 2 notches in the plastic tube, one is a bit deeper and I was able to tuck the container between the drip tray and spigot of a standing water dispenser. The shallower notch matches with the drinking trough, the tube fits snuggly into the base so the water doesn't creep back out & drip at the seam (which happens sometimes on my usual one). The birds have no trouble accessing the water. I connected the clamps so that the dispenser could be outside the cage. The trough part is a bit wider than the bar spacing, but is able to get through. I gave it one less star due to the clamp parts not holding the dispenser tightly, it can slide down out of position (due to the dispenser being slightly tapered). My birds seem to prefer this dispenser, so I am now using it everyday. I am re-filling it every 3-4 days which saves a little time and water.

Water leaks all over the floor and bottom of cage. I would give it a negative star if I could. I'm also having difficulty processing the return. Amazon is not letting me click that final step. This feeder cost $10 so some how some way I'm getting it returned!

This is a good water feeder. Just the right size to keep them feed all day. It has 2 brackets to steady it.
