I love this safe because it’s very thin, compact, and relatively lightweight. However, being compact limits storage to two handguns, without holsters, with maybe an extra mag or two. Optionally, this would easily store a single handgun in its holster with several extra magazines and a box of cartridges. For me, this means my full-size Beretta 92FS and compact HK P2000SK (see the photo of just the holsters in the safe to see the outline of where the frames would be). This storage is plenty for my personal and minimalistic needs, where the safe would only be accessed in an emergency (e.g., the middle of the night).As for functionality, this safe is loaded with features. Access is by key, and digitally with a passcode or fingerprint, with the digital access requiring 4 AA batteries. If the battery power is low, the safe will tell you. That’s right, the safe speaks and will guide you though setting up access which can be up to 50 fingerprints and 30 passcodes. In the event you are away when the safe runs out of batteries, you can temporarily power the safe using a USB cable. The fingerprint recognition is excellent, and the safe pops open instantly with quite a spring. There’s an internal light built in that can be programmed to stay on for different amounts of time (30 seconds is the default setting). The setup is very quick, and I had it programmed to recognize me in just a few seconds. There’s an optional cable to anchor the safe, as well as pre-drilled holes in the base so you can also screw it down.Overall, this is a feature-rich handgun safe that is compact, lightweight, and easy to set up and operate. I highly recommend this for the storage of firearms where rapid emergency assess is required.

So having a firearm in the home can be a concern if you don’t take proper precautions to keep it out of the hands of those that shouldn’t handle it. This safe is great for that and so much more!! I love how heavy duty it feels, although, I’m sure if a thief got a hold of it, they could open it eventually. It’s more for keeping your things locked and away while at home. But of course you could use it for any other things you’d like to keep locked at home or on the go. It various ways to open it using codes, your fingerprint, or keys.It’s fairly easy to operate and program with the included flowchart of the menu (keep that handy!). It also has a failsafe if the batteries die, you can connect a USB C power source to the front to allow the electronic functions to work. Also comes with a cable to attach it to something secure (which again could probably be snipped with the right tool). You can secure this with screws from inside like in a wall or drawer. Love the audio prompts and the blue LED light that comes on when the safe opens. Overall I’m very satisfied and love this safe and plan to put it to good use!
