This safe does not hold a charge as advertised. The only way it works is if it's directly plugged into power.

So far, the safe is working well. However, it would have been nice to have more lighting inside, as there is only one small light on the side.

It works as advertised. It comes with a key for in case you need a key we're putting ours in the safe deposit box in case we die because we don't want anyone getting into it without our fingerprints while we are alive and responsible for them. It can only be set to one fingerprint per unit so I got one for me and one for my husband. It pops right open there's really no delay once you put your fingerprint on it. You can also set a passcode. It is very sturdy I don't think anybody could get in it without a crowbar and maybe not even then. It mounts securely to the wall it's a really good product. I feel much better having the gun in the house with being able to lock it so securely yet have access to it so immediately. I have much better access to it now than I did before it was under a lock because I had in a "safe place" that was not so accessible which is what made it reasonably safe. Now it is right where I can get to it and nobody else can.
