This seems to be the same heater as another brand, but priced quite a bit lower, especially with the $30 off coupon Amazon offered.Works fine, reasonably quiet. Wiring is pretty straightforward, though of course if you are not comfortable with it hire it out, as the risk of shock or fire is significant.

It worked for a year and now the fan blows but no heat. Tried to find customer service to get a main controller board BUT there is no support service for this heater. Northern Tool will give out a number but the Keebar company does not recognize these heaters. So you can’t find any parts for it.

Overall the instalation was pretty straightforward. REMEMBER, this is not a plug in unit. You will need a dedicated 240V circuit. This was no problem, since I wired my whole shop anyway. The manual said that it requires 7 AWG wire. I used 8 AWG. which is good for up to 50 amps. When operating, the unit pulls 30 amps on the high setting, so I believe I'm good. The display works fine, but I wish the temperature sensor display would stay on constantly. It does come on when you first turn the unit on, or if you change the temperature setting. Also, the unit does cycle on and off before the rest of the area is heated to the set temperature. There is an easy fix for moving the temperature probe outside of the casing for better response.I have a 20'X20' uninsulated shop. I turned the unit on when the inside temperature was 30°F. In 20 minutes it had raised the temperature within about 10 feet of the unit to almost 40°F. I'm not expecting to achieve spa like temperatures, but it does take the chill off as expected. Overall I am happy with this unit.

Great unit for a great price. Like others, I also pulled the thermostat wire from the fan/heater housing area so it doesn’t cycle so much- easy adjustment and plenty of wire in the unit to make said adjustment. Doesn’t weight much so it’s easy to mount and is very sturdy.

This 5000w heater works as described. It was fairly easy to install, but one improvement needs to be made. This heater requires #10 wire, but the terminal block inside the unit is the weak point. The terminal block in the unit may meet minimum standards but needs improved. The very small screw and plate does not secure the solid cable very well. I work in the electric utility industry and I chose to add an Eye connector to make a much better connection. I believe this will prevent failure in the future when the angle or direction of the heater may be needed. In my stand alone 25’ by 33’ uninsulated garage it will raise the temperature about 10 to 15 degrees above the air temperature in about an hour and a half. This is very sufficient even on cold Ohio days. Make the improvement and it would be 5 star unit for the money.

I installed this heater in a one car garage. It takes approximately 15 minutes to go from 40° to 70° so my garage became a cigar lounge. The remote control makes it so convenient. I bought the 10,000 btu for quicker heating up and maintaining the temperature. I run a fan to circulate the warm air at the ceiling.Very satisfied.

Appears well built, straightforward install. I chose the 7500 watt version over the 8500 due to the smaller wire gage required. Reasonable price, wire and fittings cost more than the unit. Thermostat wire is inside the unit so cycles frequently. Fan is very quiet. Heat output is decent, takes the chill off the basement on cold days.

Very happy with the unit so far. Have the 10,000 watt unit heating an insulated 1100 sq ft rv garage with 16’ ceilings. Install was quick and easy. 6 gauge wire with a 50 amp breaker. So far with the few tests I have run it will heat up about 8 degrees per hour for me which I feel is great with it being high ceilings. Noise level is very quiet and no issues there as some others stated. Would be nice if they gave an option for included wiring so you know what gauge you need for what wattage. I’ve seen other reviews having trouble with that part but with a little homework it’s easy to figure out. Cost to run is easy to figure out. 10000 watts at one hour is 1kw. Check your utility provider and just say you pay 10 cents per kWh it will cost you $1 per hour to run. Not bad at all in my opinion for an all electric, cheaper option. If you were to buy a gas unit it is cheaper to run but you have to run gas, electric, and an exhaust vent. I think the price difference in all that alone will compensate for a long time just using some electricity.
