I’m not new to changing brake pads and rotors, I have changed them on every car and truck I have owned and on my parents cars when I was younger. I learned to compress the brake calipers with a c-clamp. I really wish I had seen one of these sooner. It made it quick and easy compared to using a c-clamp. Plus with these electronics parking brakes, I don’t think it’s a good idea to use a c-clamp on the plastic covers. Well worth it.

Unless your calipers use the guided compression tool, this is the way to go.. heavy duty and you can even use a wrench on it.

Very straight forward product. Makes changing brakes an easy 15 min repair. I was so used to using a clamp and a block that I hadn’t realized I really needed this thing.

I really like this brake pad separator. Works perfectly and the quality of the material is really good. Anyone who works on cars, even if you're a beginner, should have one of these. Especially since this one is priced so well. 5/5 highly recommended.

Purchased this to do brake work on various family vehicles. I like that it can be adjusted by hand, or with a socket/wrench. I tried it on a 2010 Toyota Camry SE (rear disc brakes), and a 2018 Subaru Impreza Wagon (also rear disc brakes), but it didn't initially work for either situation. If your brake piston is extended out to far, then this tool may not fit at first. Thankfully, I was able to push the brake piston in far enough by hand to allow me to use this tool, at which point it worked great. Overall, good product, well built, and will recommend to others.
