I've only had to use it once but it worked perfectly to install bearing cups into my frame. I may never use it again but it was cheaper than paying someone to do it.

These presses work fine for normal head asm, but it was too short to fit my Wired Ebike. I had to remove the bearing to make it work. I bought this to install the hellbender bearing set. The manufacturer needs to add about 50mm to the length of the threaded rod.

This cheap headset press is great for smaller frames but anything over 56cm with external cups and it won't reach. Even if you remove the unnecessary bearings and washers. Be warned.

Excellent tool and well-constructed. This tool worked as advertised and made changing out my head tube bearing housing simple. If you are a DYI biker, I highly suggest this tool for your toolbox.

Worked like charm installing a Spanish bottom bracket on a dirt jumper frame. Bearings went in straight and flush. Would recommend doing one side at a time. Folks who are saying that the treaded rod isn’t long enough must be building some pretty unique bikes.Tool was cheaper than anything I could have crafted from parts at the hardware store. Integrated bearings prevent binding, better than plastic bushings on the classic blue tool.

Nice tool, but two problems:1. Contrary to the description, the threaded shaft is not 5/8", it is M12-1.752. It isn't great for pressing BB30 bearings, which is what I purchased it to do because the O.D. of even the smallest step on the drift is too big. I have a set of Park drifts that do fit the bearings, but they are designed to work with a 5/8" shaft, and wobble on this tool, which makes pressing the bearings in square to the frame more difficult (had been using 1/2" allthread with nuts and washers and bought this to avoid the same issue based on the description of the 5/8" rod). Wish it didn't have these issues, because otherwise it seems well made and nice to use.
