After a lot of time researching the correct stroller to get, I am glad I ended up purchasing this one. The biggest thing for me was a real front wheel, not plastic. Reviews on multiple trailers had me nervous, but I must say, I didn't have any problems with this item. I've used it many times now both as a stroller and as a bike trailer and I love it.It arrived in perfect condition, nothing was bent or even scratched. It was packaged well. Yes, you need to put air in the tires, but I feel that is normal. I had no issues putting this together by myself. It was so much easier than I was anticipating after several reviews. It is also very quick and easy to switch from a stroller to a trailer. I am assuming there has been improvements to this stroller over time. Mine does not have any bars sticking up where you would load your pup. I can see how it could tip, but I just hold it still while my dog loads in and out of it. I don't leave her unattended, so this isn't an issue for me. I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy the bottom is, it even has a softer pad. I did however put a dog bed in mine. That is just my choice. My dog is 35lbs and fits well. It steers great, rides fairly smooth, and fits through my doorway just fine.

We researched multiple stroller/bike trailer combination options for our 40# senior dog with heart issues who still loves to get out but can no longer walk long distances without frequent rest stops and who we were concerned that we might have to carry home if we went too far and she couldn't continue. The ones that appeared to be sturdy and comfortable were generally in the $300-500 range...and the less expensive ones looked to be cheaply made, difficult to assemble, and not as comfortable. We found this product while browsing Amazon and we love it. It arrived as promised and was EASY to put together...taking perhaps 15 minutes for the two of us. The product was mostly pre-assembled, the directions were simple, all of the necessary parts were present, and, most important of all, all of the pieces fit each other perfectly. One very nice feature is that some of the smaller pieces, such as the cotter pins, are tethered to the stroller by small straps to prevent them from being lost. (One assembly tip...the hardest part the first time we tried it was getting the horizontal support bar in the back of the stroller to fit into its slot properly...this is most easily accomplished by pushing the frame laterally in each direction using the handlebar tubes while maneuvering the support bar...haven't tried it yet, but putting the handlebar in first might also be useful.) Once assembled, the product is very sturdy, easy to push and maneuver, and is plenty large enough for our dog to stand/sit/lie down comfortably...our other 50# dog would also fit nicely. We even take it to the beach and use it there...the tires aren't wide enough to roll easily on dry/loose sand but it isn't difficult to turn it around and pull it from in front and it does very well on the packed sand and dirt. (Another tip...we fold up a large beach blanket and put it inside for our dog to lay on...partly for comfort and partly to keep sand out of the bed.) Bottom line...we have had the stroller for three weeks, we have used it daily since, and we love it...an excellent buy. (Haven't tried the bike trailer function yet.)

Thia is one great doggie cart. We have a 16 year old female Jack Russell, Lucy, who has really slowed down in her walks. She also has poor eyesight but still loves to go out for strolls. We don't benefit much from the slow, short walks so we needed something that would fix both problems. This cart did it for us and Lucy loves it. It was easy to assemble and I could not believe the quality overall. The materials from the metal frame to the fabric are all top notch. The wheels are large enough to roll through weeds, sand, tough terrain or down the street on asphalt. And, it has coil springs which absorb bumps. I especially like the adjustable handlebars and swiveling front wheel which is also adjustable. Lucy is small and when she shifts her weight, there is not a problem with tipping backwards. However, a larger dog could cause it to tip backwards possibly but counter weights could help. If I had to criticize anything, it would be the handbrake, which is more of a parking brake than a stopping brake. With a little design change to a concave pad, that could be improved. Overall, this thing is great. My wife and I get our cardio benefit now and Lucy rides like the Queen she is. We just took a two mile trip through a forest park yesterday over some pretty rough terrain and it was no bother.
