Drove 1 hour to test at the lake. Noticed my braided line broke. Turns out it got cut by a chipped Ceramic ring. I think this is an ongoing issue with Berrypro.

Look is awesome, feels nice and light and the rod itself feels great in the hand. Nice and sturdy easy to use fits my functionality for striper fishing.

I received my Striper Killer, and sure it was really lightweight. The balance of this rod its just fit any anglers out there. I caught uncountable Striper with this rod. I use it all day and couldn't get tired like the other $300 rod I had. I will buy the other sizes too. Keep up the good work guys. God bless

I have the medium 9’ which I’ve used to catch fluke, schoolie striper, and blues. I bought an okuma for the fall run last year since the medium can only throw up to 1.5 oz and I wanted something that can handle heavier lures. Okuma felt clunky and I liked how this rod handles. So I bought the medium heavy which is rated for 1-3 oz. Also okuma is 10ft and I think I prefer the 9’. Time will tell but if it’s anything like the medium, it will be great.

Have take it out a couple times already using a 25lb braid. Great rod for the price. Highly recommend for a good bank rod that is light and can handle a 3 ounce lure

In the realm of surf rods there's many out there. Hundreds... This one though... As my first official surf rod purchase just get it. For the price and specs it punches WELL over it's specs. I bought the 9'6 as it tailors to my needs more. Paired with a 2016 Shimano nasci 4000 on 20lb power pro this thing launches all my lures. Wanna throw a 3/8 rooster tail? No problem. 2 1/2 oz umbrella rig? NO PROBLEM. I have used the TFO 10'6 with the inverted first guide and the bite detection on this rod is just as good. I fish for white bass, stripers, hybrids, and even occasionally snag a paddlefish. This rod does it all. On the weight side this rod is way lighter than you'd think. It's a 50/50 for my vs the 10 where it'll be a 60/40. Comes a neat carry bag with the rod spec and logo. In the future I can see this rod going up in price indefinitely. Have fought dozens of heavy fighting hybrids in fast water and it handled everyone of them with ease. I can throw a 1/4 oz jig swimbait upwards to 60+ yards with this. If you want an all around rod that can be roughed with and doesn't kill your bank account look no further. The butt of the rod is also small enough to where it does not interfere with retrieval. With my 9'6 I am able to cast all day with little to barely any fatigue. Dont let the small name fool you... It handles and handles well. The action on the spec is accurate as I have the heavy. Stiff but not overly enough to not feel anything. Some say their QC is low but in my experience what I received was excellent. zero complaints. What it could improve - could use maybe one more guide to help with accuracy on casting. Not the worse but I feel one more guide would help.Again for what one pays for this just blows my expectations out of the water. If you're looking for a starter rod or something more of a daily driver this is amazing to add to your inventory. Don't let the small name and price shy you away. Definitely getting a second one.

I was hesitant never purchasing this brand before. I purchased the 11 foot length rod and have no problem heaving a three ounce surf rig out. It is responsive too. I am able to feel more action than the same size rods that are for medium to heavy action. I’ve only used it three times so I’ll give it a month or two to decide about the quality. So far so good.

Firstly I must say this rod is nice, good cast and the full works of a good rod. My thing is this is my 3rd Berrypro rod and I was looking at the guides to see if any were broken since they are ceramic which can cut your line. Upon inspecting I saw all the guide are rusting and the tip is worse. I wash all my rods as fter each use, I have Penn, Ugly Sticks and many others and none of them rust. Berrypro needs to invest in better guides.
