Works well with a KVM switch that supports EDID emulation. I used it with a TESmart dual-HDMI switch, and a graphics card that has one DisplayPort and one HDMI output. This worked well to convert the DP output to HDMI, while not losing the EDID emulation. It does appear to get warm after several hours of operation though; I would not recommend packing it into a cramped or enclosed space.Just be careful that the directionality is what you want -- when using this with a KVM switch, this item is for the **source** side: plug the displayport end into your computer, and the HDMI end should mate with the cable running to the KVM's **input**. This will NOT do anything if you were to plug it into your monitor's DP port.(Unfortunately, the KVM itself was a disaster, so I still ended up returning this as it was no longer needed. But, this item works well on its own.)

Ich hatte mir einen KVM Switch zugelegt, an dessen Displayport ich einen HDMI-Monitor anschließen wollte. Mein erster Versuch, dies mit einem einfachen, älteren Adapterkabel von DP zu HDMI umzusetzen, scheiterte kläglich. Der Monitor wurde von den PCs nichtmal erkannt. Der zweite Versuch mit neu gekauftem Adapter von DP zu HDMI und einem neuen HDMI-Kabel brachte ebenfalls keinen Erfolg. Der Monitor wurde zwar erkannt aber es war kein Bild zu sehen. Wie ich dann erfuhr, gibt es passive DP-zu-HDMI-Adapter und aktive. Keine Ahnung, warum das so ist, aber es war ein aktiver Adapter wie dieser hier nötig, um mein Ziel zu erreichen. Funktioniert jetzt einwandfrei.

Compré este adaptador para la dock station de Caldigit, la cual ya me había dado problemas con otros adaptadores (supongo que por no ser activos) pero este ha funcionado a la primera. Muy contento con la compra. Si tienes un dock y necesitas usar pantallas este es tu adaptador.

Ma carte graphique n'ayant qu'un port HDMI j'ai acheté cet adaptateur pour brancher un écran secondaire en WQHD. La carte graphique a reconnu immédiatement l'écran et cet adaptateur display port vers HDMI permet bien de profiter du rafraichissement maximal de 144Hz en 1440p en HDMI sur un Gigabyte M32QC. L'adaptateur en lui-même est bien fini et la qualité perçue est bonne.C"est tout bon 👍

Ho acquistato questo adattatore perché il mio monitor principale, dotato di hub integrato, supporta l'uscita di segnale video/audio tramite porta DP out, mentre il secondo schermo dispone solo di ingressi HDMI. Non essendo il monitor principale in grado di effettuare una conversione attiva dell'output, ho scelto questo adattatore. A differenza di altri modelli, non richiede alimentazione tramite USB.Il cavo è rivestito in tessuto, e il connettore "femmina" è realizzato in metallo: un dettaglio che denota una buona qualità costruttiva e che probabilmente aiuta anche nella dissipazione del calore, se necessario. L'unica nota leggermente negativa riguarda il prezzo: 15€. A mio avviso, 10€ sarebbe un costo più adeguato, ma se avete bisogno di questo componente, non ci sono molte alternative. Lo consiglio comunque.

Ordered it to fix a 4k HDMI connection problem with my 25' cable from my video card to my 4k Monitor. It didn't work. as soon as I selected 4k on the display settings the monitor shut off and lost connection. it worked in 1080 fine. It worked with a shorter cable fine @ 4k. Using a 25' cable it stopped working. The product claims to be an active converter for DP which is a Higher output than HDMI so it should have worked. I contacted Microsoft support about this issue and they broke my computer so I have to reformat the whole thing now. I can't hook up the display in 1080 which worked before and the drivers won't reset or uninstall. Worst customer support ever.

Got this to replace a more expensive Club3D adapter that kept getting constant disconnects on every monitor I tried. Worked out of the box as expected, and at a much lower price. No more disconnects and headaches trying to get my set up to work

Note: This is for the Active DisplayPort to HDMI (4K@60Hz). I have a couple of Dell monitors I wanted to daisy-chain together. The primary display is a P2423DE with DisplayPort input and output connections, and the other one is a SE2416H with an HDMI input.The setup works well, provided you have a video card that supports it. An NVidia Quadro card will drive it, along with a Dell Latitude 5520 (via the USBC power/video port). Also, the monitor being driven in this manner has to be the last on the chain.A Lenovo T430 with Intel HD graphics will only drive the primary monitor, as the video subsystem doesn't support MST at all.

I am always appreciative of a product like this. It's simple, straight forward and it does exactly as it should. I've had no issues at all, instantly worked without any problems. Definitely recommended. There are plenty of other products that I can't sat the same for. This one is great.EditOops so just a week ago this stopped working. No longer transmitted the signal. My PC was off, not asleep but off and I booted it up to a black screen. I checked the typical stuff and while doing so had run my hand along this to find it very hot to the touch. Far hotter that anything like it should be. Mind you this was in about a 1 time period after the PC was powered on. Not comfortable with it, the seller is great and would honor the warranty but I'd prefer not take the risk unfortunately. Live and learn.

This worked perfectly to allow me to set up dual monitors (not mirrored- desktop is extended across both monitors). My graphics cards has 1 HDMI output and 3 DisplayPort outputs. I put my main monitor on the HDMI output and a smaller portable monitor I have for traveling in this adapter, plugged it into the first DisplayPort output, and extended the desktop across both monitors. The screen quality looks as good as it did when I had the portable monitor directly on the HDMI output. I'm sure this would work as well if I had two regular monitors instead of one portable monitor. This little adapter is great for the price.

I've had this about a month running a Dell Optiplex 5060 micro hooked to a Vizio P55-F1 TV and with this adapter I can set Windows all the way up to 4096x2160 @ 60Hz. It's great. I'm not using HDR on this setup so I don't have any input on that.Only issue I've run in to and I believe it to be a Windows issue, is that if I wake the pc from sleep before I turn on the tv, windows detects this dp2hdmi adapter instead of the TV itself and I don't get any sound. I have to unplug the hdmi cable from the adapter and plug back in to initialize a new hdmi handshake and the issue clears up. Windows detects the tv and all is well. Simple fix was to just make sure the tv was on before waking the pc.The adapter itself gets slightly warmer then room temperature to the touch, probably expected since it's an active device. But no flickering or any kind of issue with the picture.
