We purchased this for my 8 year old daughter for Christmas. Itโs a great product with good directions and you can even watch YouTube videos if you need to see how itโs done. My daughter has a limb difference, she has 1 hand, and was able to knit this hat with relative ease. It came with 1 ball of yarn which we used up almost completely for an adult sized hat, that folds up at the base, and a Pom Pom. One of the removable pegs snapped at the end when she pulled too tight and Iโm in the process of contacting the company to see if they sell replacements. Hopefully this is an easy fix.Edited to add: I have heard from the company promptly and they have offer to send a replacement kit. Excellent product and excellent customer service.

Great kit, comes with 2 balls of wool, darning needle, loom hook, a wool pen and instructions. A very sturdy loom. I love it, great value too

I was so pleasantly surprised by this beginner's loom-knitting set. This kit had everything in it that you might need to jump right into loom-knitting including an excellent instruction book. The instruction book itself truly is detailed and with a little practice, you definitely are able to follow along with the instructions. I like that they provide you with all the necessary tools and yarn to get started on one of the three beginner-level projects that they help you through. If the instruction book isn't enough there is also videos that you can access for further help, but I didn't find them necessary when making the basic head band. I personally found it easier to start with the hook, though I am beginning to understand the pen.All-in-all I believe that this is a very good kit to try to experiment with loom-knitting and see if it is a hobby you might like to take further. With basic and easy to follow instructions for three of the most common things you might want to knit, and all the materials to make them, I believe that this is an amazingly price item.

I will say that after a while I did sort of get the hang of the kit. It does feel like itโs for beginners so it was easy enough to follow. Itโs simple to do once you get the hang of it. I never really used a loom before so this was all new to me. The instructions were clear enough to help. Over all itโs a great starter kit for beginners.

This is a good set for first time crafters. In depth instructions and glossary that helps you understand the instructions. Comes with everything you need, and shows you step by step what to do. Comes with a QR that links to video help if needed. Would recommend

I saw no instructions about managing the yarn tension. I'm an experienced crocheter so I figured this would be a good way to get into knitting. The balls on the top of the spokes are really large so it was kinda difficult sometimes to get the yarn over them.

What is pictured above is called success. Success after several attempts with other looms that had directions that were written poorly and pictured even poorer. This one, however, the instructions were clear. I typed in the website and followed the directions to wrap on and then knit stitch. For the first time I got past the wrap on stage and actually was certain I was doing the knit stitch correctly. I ended up doing one third to one half of the loom at a time it was so clear.The only con I really have is the knitting hook. It's far superior to the hooks included in other kits (metal, thinner hook, has a handle, actually picks up the yarn (especially as aided with the grooved channels on the pegs)) but the handle is just a bit too small for my hand. As such, I'm working with holding onto a bit of the end of the handle and it's really flaring up my de Quervain's tendonitis. If I was wearing a thumb stabilizer for it, using the hook would be impossible. This is easily remedied by getting a hook with a longer handle. Considering it's still better than the hooks from the multiple other kits I've tried attempting to learn how to do this, I still think it's leagues beyond them.Absolutely would recommend this kit to anyone looking to learn knitting on a loom.

In another century, as a child, I learned how to use a small circular loom made out of a large wooden spool (from thread) and 6 nails. I was pleasantly surprised to discover this kind of knitting is still a โthingโ and that there are larger circular looms. Fun!This is a sturdy plastic loom consisting of 36 pegs and one additional anchor side peg. The loom is approximately 9 inches in diameter from peg to peg. The directions are very clear on how to make a headband, hat, or bag. I chose the bag because the yarn is a bit rough, but the ply is tight and it doesnโt split when you grab it with the hook (important). The colors are a bit different from the photo on the webpage, but the rainbow mix is pleasant to work with.Instructions were clear enough for me to figure out how too use the hook (Iโm not using the pen), how to cast on, and other basics. (Online video help is offered, but I didnโt need it.) I didnโt know you could do a purl stitch in this manner, so that was a nice surprise. (The how-to-purl photo could be clearer.)The best thing about this loom is that each peg has a groove down it on the outside, which keeps your hook totally in the right place (see my photos). Great invention! So you get the loom, loom hook, loom pen, and some markers. Also two small skeins of yarn. I think they could supply a bit more yarn. Also, an extra hook, which is easy to misplace, would be nice, plus a bag to store the whole kit in.Consider investigating softer yarns of the same width and tight ply for making hats and things to wear. All in all, this durable loom is great. I think older kids will enjoy it!
