This product came in a plain paper box with almost no markings except a small printed label that did not even describe what was inside. Inside were the sensor, receiver, small plastic stand, neck ribbon, and an instruction manual. The manual was written by someone whose first language was not English. The instructions were simplistic and missing some explanatory material. In spite of the poor instructions, I was able to set up the sensor and receiver with a bit of trial and error. I set the alert sound to something similar to a doorbell and the volume to the lowest audible level. It can be set to flash a light and vibrate, but I didn't want those features. My goal was for the receiver to alert me when my wife got out of bed. It does that perfectly.I couldn't give it five stars, however, since the instruction manual was obtuse and set up was a bit problematic because they offer about 20 different sounds and you have to cycle through each one when setting the one you want.In summary, the product functions well and has several options, but the instructions are minimal and programming the settings is impaired by the large number of possible sounds.

This motion sensor works really well to tell us when mom starts to get up out of bed. It is sensitive enough to catch her even just putting her legs over the edge of the bed before sitting up. It works great for our intended use which is to make sure she has help getting to the restroom in the middle of the night. Being able to adjust the pager volume is very nice also. We keep the pager two rooms over from the sensor and it is always in range.

This infrared sensor alarm by Diweit is well made, and someone put thought into the design and options. The cylindrical sensor has a removable clip holder it rotates in; the holder can be attached to a wall using the supplied anchors, screws, and mini screwdriver, OR an adhesive foam strip can stick the clip to a table/bed leg. OR the sensor can be removed from the clip holder, and a 3M adhesive foam circle can be used to stick the sensor to a table top. So all the ways you might want to mount the sensor are included. The receiver also has options. It can be placed on a table (it’s about the size of a deck of cards), OR worn on a supplied lanyard, OR placed onto a holder that can be screwed onto a surface (ensuring a “home” to return the receiver to, so it won’t become lost). The receiver’s “Mode select” icon looks like a sun or power icon. There are five options for how the receiver should alert you, in various combinations of sound, vibration, and strobe light. I’ve included photos of the user pamphlet so you can see these.Pressing the “Music select” button cycles through a huge number of short electronic tones and songs– everything from ding-dong to the Star Trek theme to Christmas music. When the receiver is turned off and on again, it remembers the last song you played in the cycle, and it’s kind of fun to scroll through the songs. The sensor will always trigger the default “ding-dong” sound, unless you reprogram the receiver. The instructions say that you can pair multiple sensors to one receiver, and distinguish each one by different songs, but I haven’t tried this.Pressing the “volume” button changes the sound from soft to loud in four stages. To get a silent alert (with just vibration only), you can switch the unit to mode 4.The sensor unit flashes a blue LED and alerts the receiver when the infrared sensor picks up heat within 4.5 meters (about 15 ft). I saved the sensor’s battery pull-tab so I can reinstall it and save the sensor’s CR2450 battery when not in use.It seems to me that it was designed by someone who knows firsthand which features and options are useful. All the pieces are solid-feeling, and seem like they’ll hold up over time.

This motion sensor alarm features 36 melodies, an LED flash, or a vibration mode, and says it has a signal range of up to 500 feet in an open area.I have a two-story house with steel studs throughout the walls that generally block most things, but while testing the range, I was able to receive a signal roughly 127 feet from the sensor, which is impressive for my place. The one thing I haven't figured out is how to silence the receiver once the motion is detected without changing the settings. It’s pretty loud!I removed two stars because the only solution I was able to think of is to turn it off. Then you have to remember to turn it back on, which negates the purpose. - I am happy to update my review if anyone knows how to silence it without turning the device off or changing the tones/vibration

I bought this to use when my father stays with me. He has dementia and will wander at night. I worry he may get hurt so I needed a product that alerts me of his movements. I had purchased another alarm. It it was very loud, to loud for my purposes. This one has a better volume selection. It’s reasonably priced. The unit has a stand to set it on a table or you can hang it on a lanyard and take it where you go. I love that it has rechargeable batteries. Highly recommend it.

We bought this item for my elderly mother in law who had trouble with night mobility. The set up was very easy and it worked great. It detected motion extremely well and the loudness was great. I highly recommend if you are looking for a safety item for nighttime.

I was looking for a solution to keep Mom safe. She's 95 and suffers from dementia. She's not steady on her feet and she's known for getting out of the bed without me hearing her; she's very stealthy. I've found her halfway down the hall confused, looking for the bathroom. She is a fall risk so I needed to find a way to be alerted to her movements in time for me to get to her. This motion sensor is one of the best purchases I've made this year! At night, I place the sensor on the floor at the end of her bed while I have the alarm next to my bed. This bad boy alerts me to her movement BEFORE her feet even hit the floor!! If you're looking for a device to help you care for and keep your loved ones safe, then this is the one for you.
