I was so excited to find this bedwetting alarm- we have been having to wash bedding 3-4 nights a week for a long time, and my girl was getting discouraged and embarrassed at the situation. We've tried several other solutions without much success. She has no medical or emotional causes, just a very deep sleeper. When this arrived, we immediately charged it up, with the included cords. I tested it with a warm damp washcloth prior to using and it did vibrate as it was supposed to. The instructions are obviously written by a non-native English speaker but with a little common sense are easy enough to figure out. She says it is comfortable to wear on the waistband of her undies and doesn't notice it at all. We tried it out the first night...no accident. In fact, she has not had an accident in nearly two weeks of wearing the alarm. Now, the alarm obviously has no functionality to prevent accidents in and of itself, but I do think that subconsciously she has realized that it's going to wake her up and been able to wake herself up or hold it. So functionally, the alarm appears to work as designed, but apparently in our case also works as a placebo! It's definitely a solid investment and great concept if you have a bedwetting kiddo.
