Nice to use with function generator to creat 10 and 50 micro volt signals off the ports on the generator ( its lowest level is 5 my)

A good value for the price. I got this after using a set of single-value SMA attenuators. This will make life easier in my test setups.Like the other reviews I have read, I could only test to 1 GHz, and it works well in this range. Baseline attenuation (with no switches pressed) was a very respectable 1 dB. And the return loss is very good - and improves with additional attenuation. I tested all swtiches and they were all within about 0.5 dB of their labeled values. Of course, errors can add up, but at most I saw perhaps one additional dB when several were used - so it stays pretty monotonic.See photos for more info (NanoVNA was calibrated before the test of course, so the baseline 1dB is likely pretty accurate).

Has gently increasing insertion loss; about 1 dB/GHz with fairly flat slope to at least 3 GHz.Does get a bit wiggly above 1.5 GHz but the steps are all within about 0.4 dB even in the deep wiggles above 2.5 GHz.

I ordered this small attenuator to accompany my tiny spectrum analyzer and my nano vector network analyzer. The main use for an attenuator is when you have a signal to measure whose level is too high for your test equipment. This is a fraction of the cost of a precision attenuator, with reasonable performance for the hobbyist. The enclosure looks/feels quite solid, with the only openings being for the pushbutton actuators themselves.I could only test this to about 1GHz, and all measurements were within the tolerance of my equipment, with SWR under 1.1:1, and the attenuation levels within .2dB of their markings.

Great for low wattage rf applications where you need a precision attenuator. Only concern is the amount of power that you can put in it. Going by how it is made I would put no more than a Watt in this device. Very does a good job for the money for step attenuator, would be great for hobby use or for professional use on a work bench or in a tool kit.

It checks out as flat as I need to 2.1 Ghz.
