I love the blanket itself. It is lovely however it fails as a heated blanket. It no longer works after only one use.

I purchased this, despite the cost being twice what I paid at Costco for a very similar product. However, mine was kaput after two years of daily use for five months out of the year. First off, the package arrived in good shape. The plastic bag this was sold in, however, was split open to about a quarter down one side of the blanket. I decided to ignore that and plug it in to try it.The blanket was a touch warmer than room temp at the lowest temp. I turned it all the way up and felt absolutely no increase in warmth. I left it on my couch, walked away for ten minutes...thinking maybe it needed time. I returned to find it still barely warmer than room temp.For the cost, this was a non-starter. I don't know if it was defective, used and returned, or just a junky product. For the cost, it wasn't worth ordering again to have the same poor performance. I have a basic, non-electric, wool throw and that kept me warmer than this. I do not recommend it at all.

The blanket is a nice size & is soft but the cord is so bulky & heavy it’s obnoxious. I’ll keep it but that’s an issue.
