It heats up nicely! It’s thinner material than I thought but it’s nice and warm.

Very cozy, but the heat is not even throughout. The middle is very warm but the outer foot doesn't have wiring.

this is really warm and cozy! i have it set permanently on my back porch so i can still be warm during the cold nights, and my dog loves it too when she's in my lap. it's easy to use and care for, though I haven't had to wash it yet. but there are apparently washing instructions.

Nice size heated blanket which is very soft and washes well.A nice warm grey color and very flexible and soft considering it's a heated blanket. It's not the thickest one we have ever used but we layer ours always to keep the warmth in.Functionality it works well, I do which you could adjust the settings with up and down option and not a constant click until you get to where you need to be.The negative for us is the control box doesn't sit on the nightstand the cord is a little too short from the control box to the blanket, so it kind of hangs down or lays on the floor.

I work from home and my desk is right in front of a drafty window, so my legs and feet get cold during the winter. I have never seen an electric blanket in a small throw/lap size and knew right away that this would be the perfect solution! After receiving it, I took it out of the box and placed it on my couch. It has a super soft and fluffy feel...the fabric is like soft fur. The second my cat saw it, she immediately jumped on it and started "making biscuits" (if you have a cat you know exactly what I'm talking about). She then turned around a few times and nestled in for a nap. I knew from that moment on that I'd never get a chance to use it, so I figured I might as well level up my cat's experience by turning on the heat for her.The cord is conveniently long (7'9"), and the plug has a locking mechanism which clicks into place to keep the plug from falling out. To unlock it, squeeze both sides of the plug. The controls are easy to see with large buttons. To turn it on/off, press the power button in the center. On the left side is a button with a thermometer icon that controls the heat setting. There are 10 levels of heat starting with "L" (low) followed by 2-9 and "H" (high). So far, my cat prefers being at a 2 or 3 depending on how cold the house is. The auto-shut off time setting button has a clock icon and is located on the right side of the controller. You can set the blanket to automatically shut off after 1 or up to up to 8 hours. It's important to note here that the timer can only be set to turn the blanket off after 1, 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours. You cannot set it to turn off after 3, 5, or 7 hours. I'm not sure why it's like this, but oddly, I could hear my mother saying, "Because I said so.", so I'm going with that as the reason why.It was suppertime for my cat, but surprisingly she didn't want to leave the coziness of the heated throw. Instead of succumbing to hunger, she decided to continue to luxuriate and wallow around in the warm, cloud-like comfort of the blanket until she was absolutely famished. It was then that I fed her and watched in amazement as she scarfed down the entire bowl in record time. She was still meowing for more, so I added some yummy treats and a few bites of chicken breast as a dessert. Once her tummy was stuffed to the brim, she waddled directly back to the blanket and nestled in for her pre-snooze cleaning fest.Five minutes later, my cat entered my office and was doing the figure 8's around my legs as I was sitting at my desk. I just assumed that the blanket had gotten to warm for her, so I went to turn it down. As I approached the blanket, I saw something on it. I knew it wasn't my cat, so...um...what. was. it. Please...oh please no...oh no. please. just no...BUT YES. yes it was.It. Sure. Was...An enormous pile of cat vomit...Not just fresh cat vomit, mind you.It was cat vomit that my blanket was keeping nice and warm.AAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I had only gotten the blanket earlier that day. I hadn't even been able to use it yet, and there I was staring at a humongous pile of cat vomit that was soaking thru its furry fabric.AAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I had to quickly find the cleaning instructions. They were all about spot cleaning and how I could use a dryer to kinda dry it, but not dry it so much as to hurt the coils and blah blah... None of this was computing in my head bc I was having to hurry and get as much vomit off of the blanket as soon as possible. Two rolls of paper towels later and I'm looking at a massive wet stain with vomit all caught in the fur.So here's what I did:1. I took one of those soft scrub brushes you use to clean your fingernails with and put some Dawn antibacterial dish soap on it, dunked it in a bowl of tepid water and gently started brushing the BIOHAZARDOUS CAT GIFT out of the furry fabric.2. I then rinsed the area thoroughly with water and ever so gently squeezed the water out. You have to be super gentle here not to bend the internal heating coils. I then pressed it between dry towels...but there was still a lot of excess water remaining.3. I then put the blanket in the dryer on the lowest, delicate setting and let it tumble around in there with another dry towel hoping the dry towel would absorb even more of the water during the process. This is not a hack that I heard about...it's just something I thought might help to make it dry faster, thus keeping the time in the dryer to a minimum. I was afraid that the tumbling would bend the inner coils and destroy my new blanket. I mean, hadn't that poor thing been through enough already? (and I'm not referring to my cat.)4. I checked on the blanket every 10 minutes. It took a full hour to fully dry, but the result was amazing! It looked brand new again without even the slightest of stains left behind or any color loss in the fabric. It's like it'd never happened! BUT.... Would. It. Still. Work????My cat watched me plug it in thinking she could just hop right back on board, but I had other plans. I was determined to get my chance at the blanket this time. We were giving each other the side-eye as if we were sizing each other up. She was just waiting to hear that click of the locking mechanism on the plug...and then...Click.The race was on to see who would get on the blanket first...Of course she won, but at least this time she allowed me to sit on the outer hem, which is more than she gave me the first time, so I considered it a victory. I grabbed the controls and pressed the power button...and...VOILA! IT WORKED!HOORAY!!!!!I turned the heat up to my cat's preferred setting, and we sat together in quiet harmony and read -I with my People magazine and my cat with her hardback copy of "The Theory of Everything" by Stephen Hawking. And normality was restored.

This heated king size blanket is very nice. Each half of the blanket has its own power cord with temp control. The temp control/remote is intuitive and easy to use. If the plug isn't pushed in correctly to the blanket or outlet, the temp control/remote will blink and show an error message. The blanket heats up pretty fast, you won't have to wait very long to get warm. The blanket is made of a fleece like material and is pretty soft. The only thing that I'm not thrilled about is that you can feel the heating elements in the blanket and they feel kind of weird. You can also clearly see the elements in the material. This definitely more of a lay under than lay on blanket.
