The only problem with electric blankets is they never last more than a year

We lost our first-floor heat for about a week, and I discovered then that we had no electric blankets or throws! This looked enticing, being soft and lightweight. We are very happy with it BUT my partner is over 6' tall and he struggled to find an orientation that would afford the best coverage that included his feet. We have had the best success with afghans, which generally measure 65" in length. I couldn't find any heated throws with that length, which would have been a lot more useful. All of these heated throws have the power cord attached in the center of the foot; this is the least convenient spot, IMO. Used in a recliner, the cord is very easily caught in the footrest mechanism. This is what killed our previous heated throw. I would LOVE to find one with the cord attached to a corner! With the cord attached at the feet, the controls wind up around his knees. It may be the 'industry standard' but it's just not a good fit.

Saw a few negative reviews, but I must say I couldn’t be happier with this heated throw. Got the beige one and love the color. It’s very lightweight and I use it on the lowest heat setting as my main problem is cold feet. It keeps me nicely warm and toasty. I am so happy I got this!

Living in South Florida I have to admit that we are not very tough when it comes to the cold weather. When it's too cold to run the AC but not cold enough 2 turn on the central heat a heated throw is perfect! No one makes a better and more reliable one than Sunbeam. My family has had several different brands over the years which evolve failed however all of the Sunbeam branded ones are still kicking. I still have one that my parents got as a wedding gift back in the early 1970s that steel works perfectly. Too bad the Hideous thing is Harvest Gold. The last heated throw that I had to throw away because it failed cost almost $150 and lasted less than 2 years. The fake Sherpa started fuzzing and peeling up almost immediately. Before that thing even hit the bottom of the dumpster I was already on my phone ordering a new Sunbeam from Amazon. I learned my lesson and will only by Sunbeam blankets from now on.

Our house is quite cool. The blanket is wonderful, warm and cozy whenever I use it. I don’t know why I didn’t get one sooner. I also use it on my bed at night, I have only two blankets on now, very light, and I am nice and warm. Thank you

9/10/21 Update: It stopped working. The controller switches to flashing red and won't heat. Will try contracting Sunbeam. No longer recommend this product.8/15/19 Update: It still works great, and is super cozy and warm... BUT, bits of the blanket are falling out. Hopefully it's just new fleece, and will stop. But there are brown fleece pieces all over my living room and on my clothes. At this rate it will be bald in a year.Original Review: Wonderfully soft and cozy fleece blanket. It's not faux fur like pictured in the listing, which I prefer. It's a soft fleece on both sides, same fabric all around. I don't feel the heating elements throughout the blanket. Still feels light weight. Controller has low, medium, and high setting. High seems to get cozy warm, may not be enough for under 50-60 degrees without additional blankets/layers.

I am so glad I discovered these heated throws. A large electric blanket on my bed is too much. I have one of these throws in my bed and one on my sofa. It has 3 heat settings and shuts off automatically after some time (maybe an hour?) I have given these as gifts and everybody loves them. I have found that some of them are softer than others and it’s hard to tell from the picture which one you are getting. But I will also say that one of them that I ordered was rather stiff but still provided comfort and warmth.

Nice and warm and cozy. Can feel the wires but doesn't interfere with enjoyment. Perfect size for cuddling on the couch.

This blanket is very soft. It heats up fast, in fact faster than my Sunbeam blanket. BUT why is the controller at the end of the blanket? The controler is not reachable which means I have to egt up to change the heat setting. It really make no sense.Update 2/21-came home this evening & the controller was hot even though the unit has been off since last night (plugged in but off). After seeing another reviewer had the controller set on fire while the unit was off, this blanket is being returned.

Es muy confortable. Espero que ésta no se descomponga al lavarla. La anterior que compré se hechó a perder al lavarla.

If I could give it a 4.5 I probably would because there are a couple of small annoyances. But overall, it's a great heated throw and I'm keeping it.Pros:• Good quality material that doesn't shed. The material is like a thick Velvet. Very low nap and very soft. It's exactly what I wanted. I wear Polartec Pants and the last "plush" throw I bought shed all over them.• Good quality warmth and Settings. The controller is really nice looking and has a nice range of settings. I find the "Medium" to be just that. It's perfect for most situations but it's nice to have one more notch if I need it. It produces a nice even heat and feels like heaven when you're cold.Cons:• Auto-Off is too short. Should be 6 hours, not 3. I feel like I'm always having to turn it back on.• Because of the weird location of the Controller, you have to run the wire over the top of the blanket and then clip it to the side if you don't want to go fishing for it all the time. And you'll need it frequently because it always seems to turn itself off! The button seem to get accidentally pressed a lot more often than I'd like. It's got a nice feel, but I wish the button were recessed a bit more. I personally think the clip on the controller is on there upside down too.Overall: I love it and will keep it. If they flipped the clip over and it had a longer cord on the controller, it would be perfect!
