I needed to trim the pad under an area rug. The padding was about 5/8 of an inch thick. I tried kitchen scissors, and X-Acto knife, the Swedish knife, and nothing would even put a dent into cutting the padding. These scissors cut it so easily.

Work well, sent well packaged. Nice scissors! Unfortunately, they don't carry blades for it, so once the first and only blade they send is dull, throw it away.

I have thumb arthritis and carpal tunnel so cutting can be an issue. I had an indoor/outdoor rug that I have wanted to cut up for YEARS.I saw someone on TikTok using something similar. 🤯 i didn’t know it existed—lol. This pair did not break the bank, feels sturdy, the steel is sharp and seems to be a good gauge. Adjusting is easy on the fly, I recommend for cardboard as well. I’ll try them on foam core next.

I had to cut a carpet pad to fit a non-standard sized area carpet. I started using regular heavy duty scissors and quickly realized that it wasn't going to work. I searched Amazon, found the Beaditive scissors, saw that they were highly rated by customers, and bought them. They made short work of carpet pad trimming. I am sure they would on carpet and any material/paper/card board where you are cutting on a flat surface.

Very pleased with these. Not fond of the turquoise colour but they do their job well. They can cut through thick cardboard easily...great for making the recycling manageable.
