I chose the largest of these available so 2 of us can sit inside in our regular beach chairs plus our cooler and other gear. We have a large, sturdy beach umbrella but somedays are so windy that it is a constant struggle to prevent it from flipping and taking off down the beach. I think this tent will be a great option for us on those days plus, it is lighter, smaller and way easier to haul back and forth from the car to the beach. The 6 person tent measures 112" x 73" w x66"H.It's easy to assemble as it only requires sliding the fiberglass tubes through the appropriate loops. The tent has interior pockets that are good for temporarily holding sunscreen and other small items we don't want blowing down the beach or getting covered in sand. And, 3 privacy windows are included if we ever want to do a quick clothes change while on the beach. The only unknown at this point is whether air flow will be too restricted and cause us to get too hot in the tent. I usually take a battery operated fan for myself and my invest in a larger one for the tent. The Atlantic Ocean is still too cold so it's not beach weather yet. So far, I'm thrilled with this tent!

It's winter here so we can't exactly try this outside but I did set it up inside to see how the process was of setting it up, how it looked, and the process of taking it down.It's packed well and in a small space and in its own bag with a drawstring.The bag has quick instructions but if you've ever put up a tent it's pretty straight-forward, plus there are orange markers on one set of poles that correspond to the places on the beach tent where they go, and the other pole goes in the other attachment points. Pretty easy for one person, though with a wind I imagine it would need two.It goes up pretty fast and fits together well, again if there were wind I imagine this would be a few extra minutes and need another person.Each corner has a little pouch to heap sand into and there are metal stakes for the edges.To keep it in place and for real windy days there are ropes and stakes. We did not try these of course but they are your standard issue of plastic stakes and ropes.This looks to be well-made and durable.there is a floor space and an extended floor out the front, again you can stake this down. But you can also fold this up and there is a zip to make this a fully enclosed tiny tent.You can see it partially closed in one of my photos. It's maybe big enough for kids, dogs, and maybe a few adults if they are cozy but not big enough for an average guy to stretch out in, but for my wife it was.There are triangular side windows that can be zipped open, with screens in them. The back has a large half-circle of window that can be zipped open, again it has a screen. Even open I think it would block lots of sun, but not fully - and block wind also, probably significantly.The zipper track itself is plastic teeth but the zippers themselves are metal with inside and outside metal tabs for zipping it up and down from outside or inside.I assume this is the same weather-resistance as other tents - probably would keep any rain off you for a bit at least, maybe longer but this is a bit of a guess on my part. It seems like regular tent material.Inside there are a few storage pockets.So I would say I am pretty impressed with this, though the real test will be during the summer when it is used in the wind.We wanted it for shade for the dogs, which is what it will do quite nicely I am sure. And also to block the wind at the windy beaches we go to, which I think it will do also - we will be putting our beach chairs in front of it and not in it and I think this will be a good block for the wind.If this is what you are looking for then I think you will like this particular one.

If I have to rush, I am quite sure I can set this tent up in 3 minutes or less, 1 minute for each part of the 3-step setup, I think :). What I am trying to say is that it's quite easy to set this up and quicker too after you have done it once. The design is quite simple yet clever, with just 2 foldable flexible sticks crossing over each other at both ends to form the frame. These foldable sticks are made up of smaller sticks tied together with a strong elastic band inside just like those foldable camping chairs. One of the sticks has an Orange color tag on it that matches the sleeve and hooks on the tent so just follow the color and you can't go wrong. Looking back, I am not sure if it really makes any difference or if they may be interchangeable, I will have to check next time but not a big deal, just a little curious. You just have to slot these sticks through the sleeves on the top of the tent to hold them down and use the hooks on each side to clamp the stick onto the tent to prevent it from collapsing with high wind. I have not taken it out to the beach yet to test and see but I think it should be ok with windows on all sides to keep the airflow more easily. There are sand pockets on each side along with stakes so hold down the tent included but they may be a little short for the beach use, I would think but not a problem since I have longer stakes I could bring along if needed. The fabric itself is quite durable and will not tear or rip easily for normal use, keeping away from sharp objects. All the zippers have double pullers on both sides, in and out, very easy to zip with. Can't wait to try this out on a beach soon, when the weather gets a little warmer. This is so easy to carry along with the included drawstring bag, and very compact considering the amount of space it will provide once set up. Plenty of view on all sides while providing enough shades.
