When Will You Need Battert Disconnect Switch?
- When you have an old vehicle that slowly drains your battery, or if your vehicle and battery are left unattended for a long period, probably a month, then it might result in the damage of the battery and could even introduce the need for a replacement.
- Battery switch protects against electrical fires and theft when your equipment is not in use, reducing problems with batteries being drawn down during storage, and extends the battery life.

OFF(=0) represents the cut-off circuit.

Battery Kill Switch 12V Installation Tips:
Step 1- Remove Cables from Battery (Please disconnect both the positive and the negative cables from the battery poles to ensure your safety)
Step 2- Remove Negative Cable Terminal
Step 3- Wire in Switch (Wire it in between the cable and the battery terminal so that the switch will break the connection to the battery when it is off. Make sure when you add the switch that you install it in the "On" position.)
Step 4- Reconnect Terminal
Step 5- Screw Switch to Frame and Connect the Battery Cables

This switch was exactly what I was looking for and needed to ensure that my battery on my pontoon was not discharging while not in use. Switching the power off is easy and reassuring that the next time I just have to turn the switch on and away we go. Very easy to install also.
