I use this on the new car stereo I installed, I didn't need the AUX port but for the price might as well for future install. USB connectivity works great with Android Auto.

It was exactly what I needed! It comes with a rubber cover to snap over the face. Al you have to do is drill a hole for the unit and screw the included nut to secure. 3.5mm and USB cords are lengthy and well made.

Este articulo por ley deberia ser instalado en los estereos que no tienen acceso frontal al USB o AUX, hace mas facil y accesible conectarse a los puertos usb o aux, ademas que se ve una instalacion limpia

I recently installed a Pioneer 6.8" touchscreen in my 2007 Duramax Classic after the radio quit working. I wanted easy access to the USB and AUX function without having cables laying all over the front of my truck. This fit perfectly in the 12v cigarette lighter spot on my truck. I simply removed and replaced. It works and looks great. Highly recommended!

My 2010 Chevy Silverado came with two cigarette lighter ports. Actually one was just a 12 volt port to plug up chargers etc. Anyway I didn't need the cigarette lighter port. When I bought the truck used the former owner had installed an aftermarket radio. It has a USB port on the back so you can use radio screen with Android Auto gps. He had a USB cable plugged into the radio and the cable laying on the tranny hump in the floor with a female end on it. He would plug a short USB cable to that to use Android Auto. I wanted it to look cleaner and decided to do it this way. I installed this where the cigarette lighter port was.As a side note, I had to make the old hole in the dash trim a little bigger. This new USB port needs a 1 1/8" hole and the hole in my dash trim was just a hair over 1". No big thing. Use a round file or rasp to enlarge the hole. Only takes a few minutes.

I installed this in the center console where my parking brake is for an Acura RSX. Make certain that your USB plug or a USB stick will clear your parking brake lever when it is in the down position.Look SUPER clean and professional.1) - For those who drive an ACURA RSX, I had to put this in the center console because there was NOWHERE for me to install in my dashboard. There just was not enough clearance for it to fit without it knocking into something.2) - I also DID NOT want to lose my cigarette lighter because that is where I keep my Fast Charge USB which has 2-USB-ports for my other devices.I highly recommend you ALWAYS " dry-fit" this first. The installers did not, so they had to buy me a new car piece.===========1) - This WILL fast charge your phone, as long as you are plugging in a fast-charge cable to it.2) - The AUX works great too.3) - I am using "JetAudio", "Pulsar" and "Rocket Player" apps so that I can listen to my MP3 music simultaneously while on Google Maps.

I installed this in a subaru exactly where the factory cigarette lighter is. Reason being I bought a new headunit that had apple car play in it and I wanted a clean way to connect to car play as my subaru didn't come from the factory with it. Popped out the cig lighter installed this in its place and look like it came from the factory like that. Works perfectly for car play at the USB 3.0 speeds and also gives ability to plug in aux cable....although what phones have those anymore?? Great quality, works well. Recommended.

The USB connector head is a little too thick for easy installation in the dash behind my Pioneer NEX5200. I imagine with as thick as the cable is and being USB3.0, it will be excellent for not losing power over the cable length. I took it to a car stereo installer and he was able to clear out enough space behind radio to make it fit (there's a lot of wires back there with the interface for steering wheel controls). So it's working great, but the USB connector head is thicker and longer than the Pioneer USB extender cable this replaced. Easy to mount recepticle under dash if you don't mind a screw hole, I mounted mine low in my 08 Sierra, so it won't be obvious if removed.
