the jack itself in my car was loose I suppose, as it would constantly disconnect from the aux port. It started off rare but got way worse over time. I happened upon this and figured I would give it a try. Now, I'm mechanically inclined so I can't really speak on ease but it took me about 10 minutes to install and completely solved the problem for me, so I'm very happy with it.
