Nice replacement fan for an older unit that was making a lot of noise and had yellowed with age.Upgrading to LED was great. It's color selectable which we appreciate because we like a cooler color in the bathroom compared to the warm light from the old fan.In Florida we have enough humidity in our house so we have bathroom fans on timers in every bathroom. This fan does a good job keeping the humidity down while showering so the mirror doesn't fog.

Our old bathroom fan was making noise, rusty, and needed replacement. I went to Home Depot to look at fans of equal size to replace it. They didn't have any as quiet as this one in the same price range with a light. The closest was 2.5 sones, over twice as loud AND only one color choice for the light, a "yellowish" color(2700k) LED, I prefer the bluer 5000-6000k. That model was cheaper but it just didn't fit the bill for me. For 1.0 sone, like this one has, and with a 5000k LED is have to do a special order, and pay 150 bucks. No thanks! I was lucky to find this on Amazon. It's a very well-made light but I am a tiny bit concerned that the outer box housing is listed as "metal, iron". If it was aluminum I would feel better as it's used in a damp bathroom and all. Though, if installed properly and used consistently, it shouldn't rust but not everyone turns on the fan every time they take a shower in my house.

I have been doing a remodel of my master bath for about a week now and I was needing to upgrade both of the builders grade exhaust fans. I had purchased one for the Orange store as I had got it on clearance but needed one more. That is when I came across this one for about the same price as the one I had got on clearance. Let me tell you that this fan/light is just as good if not a little better.Unpacking this you first see the instructions and the cover and light. This light is much bigger and brighter than the name brand one. Plus you can set the color temp on this from 3 choices. The next thing is the fan housing and fan. What is helpful with this fan is that you dont have to have access from above to instal it, this can be retro fitted or new construction. The instructions are clear and installation does not take long, I spent about 35 min from unpacking to completion. You can wire this up a couple different ways where a single switch controls both the fan and light or you can have 2 switches with each controlling one of the functions. All this is the same as the name brand but as I mentioned before about the light the fan is better as well. This is a tad, and I mean a little tad at that, louder than the name brand unit, however this fan moves about 30 cfm more air. When I say it is louder by no means is it loud. This fan is hardly noticeable compared to the builders grade fan that sounded like a tornado was in the bathroom. I cant say enough good things about this. The other fan I had got was about 80 dollars more than this at full price and the model that replaced the one I got is 90 more with less light output and less air movement. That right there is enough for me to be sold on this and I will be getting another one for the main bathroom.

Looks great, moves a lot of air and is surprisingly quiet! I tried all 3 lighting modes but the white feels too sterile, like a hospital, and the warm is a bit too soft, would be great in a smaller bathroom probably. I went with the middle option which is a perfect tone. Very easy to assemble and install, packaging and instructions were great. Couldn't ask for much better, highly recommended!

This exhaust fan looks and feels like it is well-made, and not cheap or flimsy. Power wiring for fan, light, and ground are clearly labeled. The light kit is LED, which is really nice because it saves space in the unit over your typical A19 bulb type. Plus the color temperature is adjustable.The fan is really quiet. I have always been confused about what "sones" really are, so I couldn't tell you if it lives up to the 1.0 sone claim. But suffice to say it is magnitudes more quiet than a lot of fans I have encountered.The only drawback I find here is the unit doesn't really seem to be serviceable when a part ultimately needs to be replaced. This fan went into a newly built room on the house, so we didn't have to worry about the fit. I have already replaced two fans in other bathrooms in the house, and they were easily done by removing the grill, and changing the motor out from inside the bathroom, using the existing housing; a ten minute job. When this one ultimately goes, it will require getting up in the attic, removing the entire unit, and hoping I can find one the same size so I don't have to do any cutting. Not looking forward to that. I will enjoy this while it lasts, but only four stars due to not being able to service individual parts.

I replaced a bathroom fan that I installed about 10 years ago with this one and I’m very happy with it. Not only was it the same size so it was a perfect fit, but it is so much quieter than the old one and moves a lot more air. Being in the master bathroom (more cubic feet of air), it needs to perform well and does. I really like the LED light in it and am very happy that it is dimmable. Really nice exhaust fan!
