Very quiet. Matched the exhaust port on failed Broan, exhausts more air and easy to wire up because they put junction box in best location. I usually don't buy no-name stuff but glad I did.

The install was easy, 3 wires & 2 screws, done. Its a simple (on/off) exhaust fan, quieter than I expected but not quiet.

I had to replace a bathroom fan and this one fits perfectly in its place. I had a wire clamp that I bolted to the housing (though would have been happier if one was included), so I safely secured the power to this new fan (so the sheet metal doesn't cut the supply wire). At 2 sones, the fan is much quieter than my old one but not as quiet as my own master bathroom with a 0.5 sone fan. Still, for a third the price in a guest bathroom, I'm more than happy with this one. There is plenty of airflow and it is doing the job perfectly.

This fan does the job for a small bathroom. It's quiet enough i can barely hear if the shower is on. It was easy to install. The first one I received didn't work right out of the box. The motor was locked up. But I returned it and recieved another with out a hassle. Tip: make sure the fan inside of the housing spins freely before installation. If there's resistance your motor may be bad as my first one was.

I bought this because it could be installed in a wall. Almost! if there were oval tube you could. 4 inch round tube required a slight bump out. I wish there were oval tube included. Very quiet. Very efficient. Multiple speeds at the touch of a button. Easy to install.

After 33 years, my old fan started making noise, so it was time for a new one. Replaced one in another bathroom before and it was noisy, so did my homework on this one. The difference between 6 Sones and 2 Sones is amazing! I love this one, can't even tell it is on unless you are in the bathroom. The old one could be heard throughout the house (before it started to die). The new fan installed upstairs last year was also 6 Sones and can be heard down stairs! The only downside is that the new one was deeper (taller) so had to replace the entire casing (the 6 Sone model fit in the old enclosure) so had to go up in the attic and remove everything, then install the casing in the rafters. Definitely a 2-person job at that point, so I bit more involved. Overall, it was worth the extra hassle.

Replaced the 20 year old one in the powder room as it was just too noisy for too long. Got this for the noise level and the size. Did not feel like cutting the ceiling for a larger model.Very happy with the noise level, and functionality.I had to drill 2 holes to use the screws to mount it as I could not access the sides to mount with the existing wings.

Very quiet? It's still loud. Not very easy to install. Well price is fair can't complain too much right?

I decided to upgrade a burnt out 50CFM bath fan after I had already tried to replace just the motor and fan with a "universal" kit that came with the mounting plate and bolts upside down and I couldn't reverse it so I returned to Amazon and for $11 more got this new fan unit which is 70CFM and has a 3 In. exhaust duct and sound level of only 2 sones. Overall, it would be an increase of 40% in CFM and a 50% decrease of noise by 2 sones. However, this was not designed to be easily installed in an existing ceiling that doesn't have access from above like an attic. There are two 1.5 in. mounting tabs, one on each side of the housing, to be screwed into the side of a ceiling joist. So if you are installing from below you have no access to screw these tabs into joist after unit is placed. You would have to take exact measurements of mounting slots and insert screws into joist that would match the distance for the slots to slide down on head of screws( back out screw head to accommodate slot). Instead, I made a square block frame from a 2x4 and just laid it on top of the sheetrock up against the opposite joist to create a closer wall to screw into. I then drilled two holes on each side of the lower frame that would face the joists. After doing the wiring using the romex cable clamp type connector and wire nuts from the old unit and bending the wires into the small housing access panel and connecting the vent duct hose I lowered the fan housing into the opening flush with the ceiling and screwed through the holes I had made into the joists. Turned on power and Fan works great. Very quiet and no vibration from the installation. This was some extra work making a wood block frame and drilling into the housing that could have been avoided if manufacturer designed a better mounting system for mounting from below. Also, instructions say to pull the wires from the hole and connect to the house wiring in a “not provided junction box“. But you don't need a separate junction box if you have a romex clamp type cable connector to secure the house cable to the opening that is built in access panel which acts as a junction box and then you can secure the connected wires inside the built in access panel in the housing. I intend to replace two other fans with this model. It’s quiet and 70cfm vs. 50cfm does help. Several reviews complain of noise but mine is very quiet. I think vibration from loose installation is causing noise. I screwed both sides of housing into wood frame. No vibration.
