These are the toughest scrapers I’ve ever used. From using as a pry bar as shown to using as a punch to drive trim nails these have no damage after hitting with a hammer. Highly impressed with the durability and quality of these. I rarely give 5 star ratings but these definitely deserve it, one of my go to tools in my toolbox for various jobs.

I paint houses for a living and learned early to always have what we used to call a five in one in the long pocket of my painter's pants. I've owned many over the last 30 years some were a bit too large and would fall out of the pocket or jam into your leg when bumped. I've also had some that were made of thin metal that bended easily and the cheap plastic handles would break if you even tapped it with a hammer. This one is made of very thick high quality metal with a metal end that was able to take a fairly strong hammer blow without even scratching it. It sits in the pocket well without digging into my leg or falling out. It has a couple more features than the traditional painter's tool like the nail puller and bottle opener. The best part is at this price point it's like getting a two for one deal.

Okay, if you’re reading this review I use these for cleaning my glass top range. Seriously? Yes, for burned on food these scrapers make cleaning the glass tops easier and less time. It really works.

Although people (including myself) sometimes use these tools for putty, I usually use these as a scraping tool for scraping off chipped paint; and, I often use the curved inset of the tool to help when cleaning a paint roller (drag the curved part of the scraper along the roller to help remove excess paint/water/soap from the nap).These particular tools aren't very flexible so although I might use them for spackle, it's more likely I'll use them for scraping, cleaning rollers, and other miscellaneous DIY things. These are good multipurpose tools to have in your kit and I always have one around during a paint job. Unfortunately I didn't dry off my old one so it rusted a bit, thus why I ordered these.

Unlike most of my putty knives, this one is very firm and has no flex to it. It is heavy duty and much heavier in weight than all my other ones. They are very good quality. They work well but I may put a little sharper edge on it so it reduces the manual labor part. Overall very pleased with these.r
