This is a standard caulking gun. Made of sturdy metal. Not made with any plastic pieces. It should last for years! Functions and operates like any standard caulking gun. Standard size caulking tubes will fit this gun. Easy to use! Good price! Good value!

Well I had no idea how sorry my caulking gun was until I received this one. An old worn out one like mine should have been replaced long ago. This Bates caulking gun is heavier built and operates very smoothly. I actually had to learn how to use one again because mine was like an antique compared to this one. I will be putting it to good use this spring resealing the top on my 2006 Camper Trailer I have been refurbishing. I kept putting it off last summer mainly because my old caulking gun was such a pain to try and get it to function properly for more than one or two beads. I would highly recommend this example. It is very competitively priced and functions flawlessly. 5🌟’s

Caulking guns all look about the same but that does not mean they are the same. This caulking gun has the usual convenience features such as a cutter to nip the end off the caulk tube and a needle for puncturing the membrane down inside the caulk tube and a handle with a hook on it that makes it easy to hang the gun from a ladder. There are a couple of features that make this gun better than similar products. First is the pressure release. On most caulking guns, when you want to stop, the caulk keeps on flowing for a while if you have recently squeezed the trigger. To make it stop, you have to push nad hold a button on the back of the gun that allows the plunger to be pulled backwards to relieve the pressure. This maneuver takes two hands. On this gun I really appreciate that you can release pressure simply by pulling backwards on the plunger. Secondly, this gun seems to deliver more pressure with less squeezing on the trigger. This makes the job easier and makes it easier to apply an even bead of caulk rather than having a thicker blob at each squeeze. I'm happy to have this caulking gun in my garage!

This is a very standard caulking gun like every other. It takes standard tubes of caulk, and has the normal features you'd expect - a hole you can use to snip off the end of a fresh tube, and an attached wire to pierce the seal to let the caulk out.Every part of this gun is metal, so it should last about forever, and the price is fair.
