Very good product! Well made and sturdy. I’m sending mine back for a smaller size because the adjustability was very good and allowed me the flexibility to size down

We needed a muzzle for our 2 Male Great Danes that are 2 year old brothers and are nervous around new people and new situations since they are rescues that were not socialized properly and were abused. We wanted to ensure that when going to the Vet for a check up that no one would get bit. We had tried another muzzle the vet let us borrow that had a belt buckle like closure but that took too long to close and our one dog would go nuts and we could never get it on him. So I knew I was looking for something that had a one click closure option. I read through a lot of reviews and once I came upon this product I saw how many great reviews it got, so we gave it a try and have been very happy with it for both dogs. The one click closure works quickly and solved the problem we had before. This product comes with an extra security strap that runs from the nose to the head to ensure the dog can not pull the muzzle off with their paws or by rubbing it on the ground. I love this extra sense of security. It also has a loop on the bottom where the collar could run through it to ensure the dog could not pull it off that way either, but we have not had a need to use that option. I love how the dog has plenty of openings to breathe easily while wearing it and how they can easily be fed treats through it and could drink if needed with it on. Very well made design all around and a quality product. Our Great Danes are both Males and one weighs 133 and the other weighs 139. We bought Size 6 for both of them and it fits both of them great and they still have plenty of room between the end of muzzle and their nose. We did lots of treat training for 2 weeks with the muzzles before attempting to actually have them wear them. Meaning the first day we just let them sniff the muzzles and then they got a treat. Then for 1 week we would hold a treat at the end of the muzzle and the only way the dog could get the treat was to put their nose in the muzzle and get it. Then the next week we would still hold the treat at the end of the muzzle, but the difference was that we would not immediately release the treat like before. We would purposely hold the treat tighter so that the dog had to work harder to get the treat and that way they would be in the muzzle for about 3-5 seconds, just to get them used to the feeling more. Then at the 2 week mark, while still giving them a treat through it, we closed it. At first they both tried to paw and rub to get it off but we immediately said lets go for a walk and they were so distracted and excited about that that they barely messed with them after that. Then when we went on a walk a few days later they had no issues with putting them on and they only tried to mess with them once and then stopped after that while on walk. Would highly recommend this product.

I think this muzzle is great for what it is. It was useful for training my dog, but it’s not a muzzle I’d like to use full time. There’s just NOT enough pant room - make sure to not use this in heat or for extended periods of time. Look into the FB group “Muzzle Up, Pup!” for more details, but not having enough pant room isn’t safe. That being said, it’s a perfect training muzzle because it’s malleable and not as hard as some other muzzles out there. I was easily able to feed my dog treats through the muzzle while training. Once secured properly, it was pretty difficult for him to try and take it off.I’m not sure if it is bite proof because the FB group I mentioned claims it isn’t, but it was in my case. It prevented my dog from biting (due to resource guarding issues). Not sure if that would be the same for a dog who is actively aggressive for no reason.Size 4 worked for my pittie.

Really good muzzle and great value price. I bought for my XL Bully and if measured properly they fit perfectly. The added feature of being able to mould them to your dog is great for added comfort.

I originally purchased this muzzle for my 75-pound APBT because he and my in-laws' dog do not get along well. However, because my in-laws chose not to muzzle their dog as well, we keep them completely separated when we visit, so the muzzle has not used in a fight-type situation. However, we decided to keep the muzzle to train our dog if the need to use it ever arose. I would be comfortable allowing him to wear the muzzle in a fight situation, and I also feel that he would be protected if the in-laws' dog used the same muzzle.I purchased the size 5 for my dog and it fits him perfectly. For reference, my in-laws' dog is a 55- to 60-pound Amstaff, and when we tried the muzzle on him, he would have needed a size smaller. There's enough room so that my dog is comfortable, but it's snug enough so that I don't have to worry about it coming off. My husband and I did quite a few test runs and discovered that as long as everything is tightened properly and the strap that goes over the head is attached, our dog could not get it off (although he tried his best). We also weren't able to get it off of him by moderate tugging.Training was very easy. For the first handful of times that we put the muzzle on our dog, we spread peanut butter on the nose to coax him into cooperating. After that, he started accepting the muzzle without any resistance. He now seems very comfortable in the muzzle. The muzzle itself is made of a sturdy rubber, but it is soft. It is strong enough to resist being crumpled, but I don't worry about my dog hurting himself like I would with the hard metal type. We haven't seen any telltale signs of rubbing like raw/inflamed skin or missing fur, but I would suggest limiting the amount of time in the muzzle to only what's necessary just to be sure. Our dog has plenty of room to drink, and I can even feed him small treats and peanut butter. That, of course, means that I can put my fingers in the muzzle and he would be able to bite, so this is definitely not the muzzle you want to use if you are trying to protect hands or to go to the vet. It is intended to protect against aggression toward other dogs and humans, and I feel that it would serve that purpose excellently. On a final note, The Company of Animals is extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. I had lost the top strap for our muzzle, so I emailed customer service to ask if that strap could be purchased independently. I got an email back that evening stating that the strap could not be purchased separately but that the company would send me an entire new muzzle at no cost. I forwarded my address and received a confirmation email from the same customer service agent almost immediately. The new muzzle was in my mailbox five days later.I would suggest this for anyone who has a pet with aggression issues as not only an inexpensive option but a very effective and safe option as well.
