I think this is about as good as it gets. Very nice unit---strong and very generous size filter screen ---ideal sized for irrigation water---and with the port where a ball valve can be installed to use as a 'screen washer----And it is priced right in this size. A very good product-------

Banjo LS125-20 Polypropylene Y Strainer, 20 Mesh, 1-1/4" NPT Female, I should have bought this a long time ago. It protects my new pump from any rocks and other debris.

I would consider using a large-faced bushing with a rubber washer if this one is ever to be removed and reinstalled.
