Much smaller than I had imagined. The screen is around 3/4" Dia, and 3" long, and in most cases, itis cheaper to buy the whole thing. 80 mesh is really small, and may not do for main water lines into yourproperty. 40 is the next mesh that everyone carries, but you can get 60 (LS075-60).This is a good screen for close to application usage where some filtering has already taken place.For stand alone main water line screening just after your water meter, I would recommend the 40 mesh, andif your water is normally very clean, the 60 mesh. This is exactly what I needed and it works well with my water system. This is for a gravity feed backup water system fed from my gutter and it keeps out any debris in the tank from reaching end use.
