These polyester insulation blankets effectively mitigate noise from our builder-grade apartment dishwasher. The installation process, including removal of the dishwasher from its under-counter position, was completed in approximately 30 minutes. The two blankets are secured using the provided Velcro strips. The loop side of the Velcro is integrated into the blanket at regular intervals, while the adhesive-backed hook strips are firmly attached to the dishwasher's exterior. The adhesive is notably strong, ensuring a secure bond that resists unintentional detachment, even during subsequent blanket removal.To maximize insulation, I applied one blanket horizontally across the back and sides of the dishwasher, followed by a second blanket over the top and sides, creating an overlapping layer. This configuration resulted in a measured 10-decibel noise reduction (from 62 to 52), a significant improvement as measured by a smartphone decibel meter. Furthermore, the insulation enhances heat retention, leading to more thorough dish drying.It's important to note that most budget-friendly dishwashers lack insulation on the front door, which will still allow some sound to escape. However, these blankets demonstrably reduce overall operational noise.

This is my review for BALAPET 2 Pcs Thick Quilt Dishwasher Sound Insulation, Easy to Secure Dishwasher Insulation Blanket with Hook and Loop Fasteners, Suitable for Household Appliances(24x46IN). My dishwasher is annoyingly loud and did not come with sound insulation installed on it. These quilts are like a moving blanket. After they were installed they did a amazing job keeping down the noise of the dishwasher. Highly recommended.
