hooked it up to a 12v adapter and then to a smart plug with a timer. Now i fill you my outdoor cold plunge tub on a timer! So when it gets full, it automatically turns off

I put this in between a 20lb propane tank and a stove for my van and it's safe to say I would never recommend purchasing this. I don't know what was going on with the valve, but it had very restricted flow when it was "open". I couldn't even light my stove with how much was coming out. Second, this thing gets dangerously hot and really fast. Even if you're not using it in a propane system I wouldn't recommend it for this reason. Like it was seriously 30s to a minute of operation and it was too hot to touch. One last thing. If you choose to disregard those pretty important features...mounting it is not easy either. Maybe if it's attached directly to a rigid part of the system it might be okay, but the thing is really heavy and can't be mounted easily otherwise.

It dose heat up a bit but I open two holes on the bed of my truck where it’s mounted to let the air rush and cool it down. It worked out ok for me

I have this on my gravity feed auxiliary diesel tank, it works good but overheats after about 15 gallons, I drive for a living and have to pull over to let it cool to transfer more fuel, so i only used this for 3 days and had to change it

Using as a valve on a 63 gallon auxiliary Diesel fuel tank. When I was researching for a valve, I heard about the valve overheating if left energized for too long. Another review stated installation of a 100 watt 5 ohm resistor inline with the power lead takes care of the overheat issue. Did it and used it when towing my 5th wheel from NoDak over to Puget Sound and back. No problems. UPDATE: Valve does not appear to like extremely cold temps. Put some fuel into my aux tank this past winter and once opened, the valve would not close until it got warmer. It gets down to -30 here in North Dakota so be guided accordingly. Find a different valve if needed in extremely cold temps.

Works as expected. Used to control Diesel fuel from auxiliary tank in my Ford F-250. Placed a rocker switch on dash and not have control of fuel flow from tank without having to exit the cab.

I need to install a valve located on a brass pipe which is not easily accessible, but I still need turn it on and off periodically. Therefore, an electric valve which can be controlled remotely would solve my problem. I find that BACOENG 3/8" DC12V Electric Solenoid Valve perfectly fits my needs. It is made of brass, similar to the pipe. So I do not need worry about galvanic corrosion. The machining of the fitting is precise and no water leak even at 100 psi. The installation is easy. Both wires can be either positive or negative. The flow is stopped completely with any leak when the valve is closed. I also notice that the valve exert negligible resistance to the flow when it is open. This is a perfect electric valve!
