How to protect your actuator
- The actual load does not exceed the rated load.
- Please use the 12V DC power battery. If use smaller voltage, product can not work well, use bigger voltage maybe will damage to the product.
- It should be noted that the mini linear actuator is in extreme operating conditions for a long time will reduce product life.

The first time I used the actuator the plastic connection point on the actuator arm snapped. It is hollow plastic and threaded.

This is a compact 12V linear actuator with a relatively short 1.2 inch travel distance. It's quite powerful for its size, with the specified ability to move a bit over 10 pounds (although if you try to push back on it while traveling, it definitely isn't easy to do so). Versions are available with and without a switch, but I'd go for the version without a switch unless you really need it as the switch adds a fair bit to the cost; I'm usually controlling these from an automation system so the switch isn't a necessary inclusion for that purpose.Based on past experience with this type of actuator, I strongly recommend you design your system to only put pressure on the actuator in its direction of travel. If you add lateral force to the plunger from the side, it can inhibit the actuator from raising or lowering and even prevent it from working at all over time. If you stick to just up and down, though, they are pretty reliable components.While I've only tested this on the bench so far, I'll update the review if I encounter any long term issues!

The product works flawlessly as far as the in and out. If it gets in a bind the end of the cylinder is the weak point. The bind part was my fault as I was testing it but the plastic end that connects to your application is a hollow piece of plastic that will break as mine did.

This actuator is perfect for all kinds of projects! It packs a lot of power for its size while also still being fairly fast (about 3.5 seconds to fully extend/retract when not under load). The included hardware is nice if you don't have a lot of extra junk... er, I mean spares laying around. The wires and switch are appropriately spec'd for this actuator, and so far it's been great for what I need it to do. Highly recommended for all of the tinkerers out there!

I purchased this for an Arduino project. It took me forever to find an actuator this small.I 3D printed a ghost with an articulated tongue. My plan is to have the actuator make the tongue move up and down.I will update the review after I get the project built.
