I hate reviewing this before I've actually used it, so take this for what it's worth. I like the way it came packaged and the included storage tube. Unlike some reviews, my "alignment marks" actually lined up perfectly, though I wouldn't care if they didn't.The rod feels really nice. It's well balanced and I like the way it feels in hand. I've compared it to a couple of my more expensive rods and have trouble telling much difference. If it doesn't break when I use it, I'll probably buy a couple more.

Bought this on a whim to fish the driftless in Iowa. I got the 7’6” 4 wt. I have landed a lot of trout including this 22” rainbow. I have other TFO rods and this one was a heck of a deal for the money. I am able to roll cast and bow and arrow cast. I can nymph and throw dries. If you are looking to get into fly fishing this is a great deal for the money. Then you can upgrade if you want.

I had an Aventik Voya travel rod which I really liked until it was stolen on the flight back from Billings Mt. Bought this Aventik Heritage rod to replace the Voya. I have to say I like this rod better. A little more power I think. Fit and finish on the rod is great. Could find no flaws in the workmanship. Just a nice rod for $65. I compare it to my St Croix rods and it isn't far behind. It is a little bit heavier than the St Croix and a little slower action but it is also about $250 less. Very nice indeed!

Ordered the 9 ft, LW 8 fly fishing rod, looking for a salmon fishing. Tested it and I felt the rod weak for heavy fishing.The rod is lightweight, very well manufactured, acts well on casting, but is little bit too weak to fight a salmon.My only regret is,… the manufacturer doesn’t make a LW 9 or 10 on this length.As I said,… almost perfect

I have put this rod through the ringer the last few weeks and I have to say I am highly impressed with this newer rod from Aventik! Lighter profile with a great taper. Caught several largemouth in the 3-4lb range on the 5W and it handled them very well with great response.

After breaking a $1500 custom flyrod, I bought this rod to finish my season. It was a pleasure to use and i was impressed with the action. It was every bit as good as my expensive rod. Liked it so much it has become my go to rod! Since this review I bought a second Aventik heritage in a different weight. These are really nice rods.
