Sonido clasico y muy versatil, no hay pierde en este platillo. Muy buena definicion en cuerpo y campana, puedes usarlo en cualquier genero musical y va a encajar bien con el resto de tu kit.

This is the best ride I’ve ever had. Wonderful in any kind of music, you may pull out of it many sounds, as expected from handmade cymbals such the K Custom. Always warm and dark, its outstanding sound is always present, no matter if the band plays mellow or loud. It requires some time before you learn how to exploit its possibilties. It also has beautiful crash properties. If you come from those industrial cymbals, like some series from Zildjan itself, you could even dislike this one at first, since it is a truly unique old school ride, with few overtones which aren’t too invasive, but that make the sound alive. The bell is amazing: it sounds fat with a great attack. I find this cymbal more responsive if played with a gentle touch, even if that doesn’t mean that you can’t play it loud, by all means. If you are in the market for a ride you can’t go wrong with this one, not to mention that, if you play them properly, any K Custom will become better and better while aging.

Clear, well defined stick sound. Gives dark, warm undertones that wash well, but not uncontrollably. The crash sound is a bit brashy or trashy, so it accents well. Another fact I disovered is that this cymbal sounds great with light sticks ( or gentle hits) so you can play it "quietly" and still get some great tones. With so many choices, It seems difficult to find the perfect jazz ride cymbal. The Zildjian K Custom 20-Inch Dark Ride Cymbal is definitely a contender. I really enjoy playing this cymbal.

As someone who plays in a small combo who gigs for background music, this ride is perfect. The overtone resonates through the combo without overpowering and each attack of the stick is defined and heard well by the group. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys jazz, funk, fusion, and some other similar genres.

I traded down from the because every one of those I tried had a hum when playing fast ostinatos. While this model is described as dark, its fundamental is at a relatively high frequency. It's just short of bright. What I love is it is a perfect crash/ride and often the only cymbal (except for hi-hats) that I set up for jazz and some acoustic blues. There are over- and undertones, but the main characteristics are low projection with medium decay. I once observed the cymbal practically shimmering on the stand in response to a bassist and guitarist noodling at low volume. That sympathetic vibrations could do that is evidence of how sonically interesting this particular cymbal is.What I especially love is this cymbal will find its own place in the mix. To he honest, because it does not project it is not optimum for loud music unless mic'ed. Also, the bell is somewhat weak. However for jazz and blues it is truly beautiful and it crashes as well as some dedicated crash cymbals.

Here is the best review I can give. I bought this cymbal for my son and every time he takes it out of the house, grown and almost grown men come up to it and oogle. At nearly $400 bucks they know the 15 year old didn't buy it, so they generally make their way to me going on and on about how awesome the sound is. I feel like I've bought my boy a Corvette.

Bought this ride new after looking up the best ride cymbals to play jazz with...and this IS that cymbal. If you've never played on custom cymbals before I seriously suggest that you shell out the extra cash and get them! I have the Zildjian Dark ride and 10" splash. The dark tones you get when you play it are sick and the 20" ride carries some serious power when hit like a crash! So awesome...almost in love with it in a creepy way!! Lol highly suggest it to a beginner or an expert!

I had Zildjian send me this ride, I'm a sabian man but i could never find the right ride for the music I play. Im a jazz, R&B funk player and needed a kinda dark but with a nice effect when you use it as a crash ride cymbal. And man i found it!!! it washes really nice as crash and has that dark kinda sound when you use as a ride, the only downfall that doesnt work for me is that the bell isnt that bright like I like it but hey thats my opinoion. But as for the rest of the cymbal WOW WOW WOW way to go zildjian...

I was fortunate enough to find this cymbal used at a local music shop. The price was right and I knew I would love the sound. The stick definition is great and has so much warmth. It is such a great tool, however, it would not work well for heavy rock (which should be obvious), but signs great with jazz, light rock, and even a good funk groove.
