Update: contacted the company and they gave me a refund and updated the information in the pictures so this doesn't happen to anyone else so I'm upping to 4 stars.Original review: Instructions say it works with 1.6 to 3.8 cm rods. Mine is just over 1.6cm and isn't close to touching the rod. Looks like 2.1cm is the minimum. Waste of time because now I gotta pack it all up and send it back...

This product was easy to install. Came with full instructions. Good quality and it's functional. Compared to other value products this was a good price. Also compatible with Alexa!I got this for my bedroom but definitely getting another one for all my living room windows

We have seen plenty of rolling curtain automations, but rare for the traditional rod, I bean etc. that moves horizontally. This robot is an innovative design. By large battery and strong motors, the robots move left/right powerfully capable heavy curtains. Like mine is a 1-1/2 inch rod. The kit include accessories for beam/track application as well. The kit includes a little piece so that if your rod is extendable, a ramp can be built to smooth the joint, allow the robot work normal. The robot can be controlled by RC remote (old school, isn't it), as well an app through a bluetooth dongle. After set up, you will first need to train the robots thru the dongle. Thru the dongle the app can control the robots from anywhere. The app provides some scene settings such as auto close the curtain at certain ambient/temperature settings. There are two power modes. For the extendable rod, the quiet mode is a bit lagging. In other applications, the quiet mode is really nice. The robot comes with high capacity battery. The robots can work for a few months before need recharging. Charging the robots is a bit inconvenient as you will need a ladder. I simply leave a charging cable on the robot all time and hide the cable behind the curtain.

It worked for a month then it would disconnect from my wireless router from time to time. Not sure it's heat related. I have an automation set to close the curtain right before sunset and open when sun rise and they don't always work since the curtain opener may goes offline. It has nothing to do my wifi or internet connection since it's the only device with connection issue according to the log.

This little guy is cool and all but honestly it has some serious drawbacks. I have it currently on my living room curtains, two panels of grommet style semi sheer very light weight curtains. it does fine most of the time to open them in the morning, but at night when it goes to close them, it gets stuck on god knows what. There's nothing there but it will work and then the sides pop off and it just sits there. The app doesn't know that the device was unable to complete the movement so you then have to climb up there and either move the device to the other side, or reset the movements to get it in the right spot. Set up was fairly easy. The instructions were not very clean on some steps, especially when it comes to installing the cord to help the curtains move, which made a big difference when it decides to work. The extra piece they provide to bridge the step for telescoping poles worked great the first few times, I have a long rod with a center telescoping rod in it so there is about an inch of thinner rod right in the center, I put the extra piece on it because the device could not make it across, its a metal comb looking thing that's surrounded in a clear plastic adhesive strip.. yeah well after a bit I closed the curtain and the adhesive had come off, gummed up the whole thing and so I had to mess with that, ultimately taking it down, I'll figure something else out with it.Long story short its not great for heavy curtains, grommet curtains, or telescoping poles. If I had an unobstructed window with a curtain that was light, had loop hanging or curtain rings, it would be better, and a solid rod. For me its turning out to be a hassle that I would just rather open the curtains manually.

Works as it should, game changer it’s been over 3 months and I still haven’t recharged it so battery life is great! I have it auto shut/open from dusk to dawn

Paired very easy with Alexa. It makes waking up in the morning and letting the sun in much easier. It can be customized with Alexa to develop a routine to open the curtains daily.

This could be much better but it could also be worse. It does work but it is awfully weak. The Smart portion seems to work pretty well with just a few glitches. Sometimes it takes it a while to respond. It could use a lot of an upgrade.
