These universal side steps worked great with my husband’s Dodge Truck. They are great for me to be able to get in the truck easier because I am short.

Product looked fine out of the package, but then you look for instructions, don’t worry/ you won’t find any. Then you’ll look at the hardware, realize you’d better make your own and go get some better bolts as well because not only do they not fit, they probably have the strength of a deck screw; so after you go get some angle iron and cut to length and get your holes drilled to match and everything mounted up to the truck, you then realize…even after I reinforced it best not out all 220 of my ass on it, gf should be good though. But you’ll be right about you not putting your full weight, gf however. I have a medium 120lb lady, some are smaller some are…well some girls could kick my ass. But not as bad as the ass chewing you’ll get when the step itself breaks where it makes the bend outwards. So now they are in the landfill. Also by the time you drive to your tractor supply or metal supplier etc for the hardware you’ve already spent as much as your next step 🔽Do yourself a favor and go get some Carr or Bully steps. Gunna hurt the pockets a bit more but going to save your tail (and time) so worth the price difference.

I bought these for my 2wd RAM 1500. These were to aid my 69 yo wife getting into the passenger side. The kit came with 4 brackets and the hardware to install, but, with no directions included. the brackets seem to be 1/2" too wide. And to be honest, I can't figure them out. I hesitate to just put them on with self tapping screws as I don't know if they'll be strong enough. My wife only weighs 120lb. But, I don't want to risk it. They do appear to be well made though. Just not for my purpose.

So the only negative you may come across with these is that the product does not include instructions. They fit on my 2010 F-150 without the need for the universal bracket. I had mounting holes for one bolt on each bracket already in place from old running boards. These holes made lining up the steps easy. All I needed was a metal bit/drill and a size 13 socket and wrench. Sturdy product and easy install. This provides my wife and daughter the boost they need to get up in the truck without sacrificing the ground clearance and look of the truck. Time will tell how long they will last but so far the product is as advertised. As for the lack of instructions you can YouTube installations and get a pretty good idea of what you need to do. After that get up under your vehicle and hold the step up in place. It becomes obvious pretty quickly where you mount them and if you’ll need the universal bracket. 👍🏼

This is a good product at a good price. We installed it on a 1993 Chevy K1500 without any issues except we had to find installation instructions. The box comes with the steps, bolts, and a number of adapters/mounting plates but no instructions. We tried to figure out what goes where but couldn't reason out the extra hardware. We ended up searching for Bully steps online and looking at their directions. The kits look similar and the pieces are the same. Depending on your truck year and model, you may need to mount the steps differently using one of the adapters. Once we had this figured out, we mounted the steps as the Bully instructions said and they work great.
