These need bars are what I needed to be able to get into my 2008 chevy silverado extend cab 1500. They fit perfect. The instructions are on point on how to install. The brackets have letters of (DC/PC) to let u know which side goes to which side. Which makes it's it even easier to install. Very happy with this purchase knowing I can get up into the truck know with no help!!! All pieces were included to install. Just need ur basic tools to install.

Fit my 2010 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab LT (in case you're looking at review to make sure they'll fit). These were a little bit of a pain to put on, but I can't be upset about the result. The middle bracket is the hardest and you'll need an extended socket wrench set to do it, just FYI. They are sturdy, well built and look awesome (make my truck look meaner). Bought these mostly for my short wife so she can get in - I can say happily that she can basically step up and walk into the truck now. The seat upholstery is much happier on both sides as there's no more "scooting" to get in and out. Love them and would buy again if, Heaven forbid, I ever have to buy another truck. GREAT price too!

Everything looks good and went on very easy with one person installing, minor issues with weld flash inside one tube causing me to not be able to start the screw into the nut, and one bracket had weld flash on mating surface of bracket, used a dremel tool to grind flash out of the 2 areas and everything went good after that, looks good and well worth the money

These step bars are a perfect fit on my black 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Ext. Cab 4x4 (5.3L V8). They are packaged well and each bar was wrapped in bubble wrap with Styrofoam inserts between them. The parts with the instruction book come packed neatly in a small box inside the main box. There were no problems with the bars or the parts or the instructions. My problem was with the GM factory body mount bolts. GM uses an iron grip locking compound on their bolts. I could not get them off to even start the installation. A stronger man may be able to get it with a breaker bar, but I wasn't budging it. Now I should mention that I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2012 and the docs thought I had cancer at first. It devastated my weight, muscles, and bones before the docs finally figured out it was Celiac. I weighed 128 pounds on 1-6-2012 and I am 6 foot 1 inch tall. It was bad, really bad. As of today 6-25-2015 I still only weigh around 140 pounds. That is skinny for a 6'1" 36 year old guy. I can't gain weight due to a damaged small intestine. I use to weigh 168 before celiac. So, my weight lifting days are over and I couldn't get the GM bolt out. There are 6 of them, so I had to humble myself and ask for help. That's good for us men. I know the guys down at the local service shop, so I called them. They helped me out for free and they used an air assisted ratchet to get those crazy bolts out. We installed it in less than 30 minutes once those bolts were out. I tipped the guy who helped me out and that was that. These MaxMate Custom Fit step bars are truly just that, custom fit. They fit perfectly and are low profile. Everything locks up tight, especially with a power ratchet, and the center bracket makes it even more solid. My wife and kids like that they don't have to scale a mountain to get to their seats anymore. I recommend getting help with the install. If you can get those factory bolts out yourself, then you are like super man. It's much faster to get some help at a shop. When I called the shop, I asked how much it would be for them to install the bars. He just said, "Bring it down and we'll help ya." If you hit a brick wall with the bolts, don't go banging your head against it like a crazy man. Just call the shop and get it done. Buy these step bars. You will be impressed at the simple, clean, rugged look and it is priced great. There are no words on the step pads. Just straight black with a grip pattern. No need to buy more expensive name brand step bars. These are well made and the sale price on these of $139 is hard to beat.
