this is the best home charger. it works great because i can control the amps and set it at what ever rate i want. use it on a dryer 30a at 28a and not had one problem. also have it hard wire in old hotwater heater spot. works great at 28a. and another location i installed new 60a breaker and wire works geat at 50a.

I have purchased 3 Autel Chargers for my 2 homes over the last two years. They are excellent! They work great and have many attractive features such as online access, a versatile app, ability to see consumption etc. However, the best thing is that they not only have an amazing and robust product for home and/or commercial use, but they also have a great and responsive Customer Service. Their service is excellent and accessible 24/7 from what I can see. I would highly recommend them.

The unit has given me zero problems. It was installed by the company who is Partnered with GM and took no time at all to install.The units is sturdy in all weather, delivers ample charging and having the built in cable management is great.I never use the app for the charger specifically because my Cadillac lyric has a dedicated app and does more than what this app can do for me. However when I was using the app was simple and easy to use.It was required to have a relay installed to ensure the unit did t go overboard on the amp-age which does cause the unit to stop charging periodically, but Autel pick right back up and has zero issues.Solid unit great price.

Solamente lo he usado en dos ocasiones y hasta ahorita ha funcionado de maravilla. Según veo solo funciona con corriente 220 y me da la impresión de que no puede instalarse con corriente 110 a diferencia de otros productos con los que he trabajado. La calidad es impecable y tiene muy buenas funciones como internet y Bluetooth.

The product installed easily and mobile features work well. Unfortunately, support does not seem to know about the more technical aspects of the product. I asked support about a listed connectivity feature - RS485. Though the response was quick, they were not able to answer my question about this features use. Two different support reps contacted me, I gave the same information to both. Neither could tell me for certain what I could do with this connectivity (I wanted to connect a datalogger via Modbus or whatever protocol may have been used, to independently record and store data) and neither offered any documentation that would let me figure this out on my own. And after being told they would check it out, I never heard back them. As far as the wish list - I wish that I could set the charge current level remotely and/or programmatically instead of having to remove two covers to get to the switch. Having this capability is important when trying to automatically balance a home’s solar production and usage (ie. trying to minimize grid usage automatically, instead of manually). Overall, the product is good and close to being a 5 star. But if they are going to advertise a feature, it is important that support has the knowledge to answer questions about that feature with expertise instead of speculation. Also, important to not leave the customer hanging with unanswered questions.

Updated review, 9/25/2022:I chose this EVSE (charger) over all the others because it allows on-the-fly adjustments to the output amps at 1 amp increments, and the price is competitive. I want the adjustability to be able to closely match what is available from my solar panels at different times. Although it appeared that my unit had been previously opened and returned, Autel support confirmed that no parts were missing that were supposed to be there. My one disappointment was that there was no internal cable clamp provided for the input wiring, even though they install one at the factory for the output cable, and there is a mounting site to screw in a clamp for the input wiring. The outer compression screw collar is probably sufficient to hold the cable securely, but as long as the unit is designed to have an internal clamp on both input and output cables, I've asked their support people if it's possible for me to purchase the clamp and screws to put on the input cable.One small software glitch to be aware of: Often when I try to adjust the max output amperage on the app, it won't stick at the requested new setting. I.e., it does actually output the desired amps, but when I look back at the setting screen, it shows it at the prior amp setting. This can be confusing, and requires double checking what output is actually occurring.Another minor annoyance is that it occasionally loses wifi contact for no good reason, and I have to close and re-open the app to reconnect (easy, but annoying).Lastly, from the Amazon web info, for some reason I expected it would be possible to see and adjust things on the charger "screen" just like one can do on the phone app, but there is no "screen," and no adjustments or viewing is possible -- just the five icons that glow/flash different colors for different situations. But the phone app let's me do everything I'd want to, which is more important than having any of that accessible on the unit itself.And if you're installing this yourself and don't know what a "T10" screwdriver is, be sure to look it up (TORX) and note that it is provided in the hardware packet, before you attempt using a phillips head screwdriver and destroy the screws (like I suspect the prior purchaser almost did).

Have been using this to charge my 2022 Mustang MachE for about a month now. Installation was done by electrician, he said it was pretty straight forward . I just had to update the firmware and the smart features are great. The only issue I came across so far is that the charging was not engaging one day. The car said charging is suspended for the charger. The Autel app failed to connect to the charger via wifi/bluetooth. I just had to turn off the circuit breaker and turn it back on (so essentially a reboot). Everything back to normal. I assume just like computers, these devices also need a reboot once in a while.Update after using for more than 2 months==================================The charger is working great. The reboot issue mentioned above is fixed via a firmware update from Autel. So all good now.
