These mini garden augers are PERFECT. The smaller is great for digging up compacted soil, larger perfect for digging holes to plant your started plants.

These augers work quite well even in heavy, wet soil to make a neat and clean hole. I used them with an older18 volt battery powered drill. You have to auger just a little, pull the bit our and clean the clay off it, and then auger some more. It is an intermittent process, but over all it goes very quickly.

Not much to write here. I needed to drill holes for a small garden fence and these worked fine. Used jn my battery powered drill. The red coating will chip off some on rocks and such, but not unexpected. For planting or small poles in tough ground, these will work fine.

Purchased for garden use at my home, feeling good about the purchase. In use now for the last year or perhaps a bit less this has been a good value buy. Quickly breaks up our soils and even some clay to allow seasonal planting, speeding up the whole process and reducing time on my knees. It took a few uses to get that it helps to run a pilot hole with the smallest augur before using the largest to really prep larger planting, especially in more dense, dry, packed, or clay containing soils. Once I understood that, my time on my knees was cut even further. Would buy again.

I bought a set of 4 of these a year ago about, and have mercilessly abused them. With a corded half inch hammer drill I have run them to dig post holes, to plant, mix cement, etc.I have not cared if they broke since for $24 I’ll just buy more. Today one finally torqued on me and actually twisted and bent at the drill chuck but didn’t break. I hammered it….. sorta straight, and it’s back to work.I have caught them on the crummy western PA shale and rock that makes up our “soil” and none have broke. For those who have broke them, I’d say it’s been bad luck on the welds or a bad batch of steel on a run. I’ve had two sets (some for my gf’s home) and they’re beasts. I’m actually honestly shocked. I figured they’d be one and done.

Definitely has made gardening so much easier. On my own and things aren’t easy. My ground is very packed. Can’t dig in with a shovel. This attachment loosens soil quickly. My son dug a good size hole, he said he’d never do it again with this attachment. More than happy with this product.

This was not as effective as I thought it would be so much enamel paint on the tip left it without a point after multiple attempts the paint just chipped right off.
It’s a relaxing tea and I love it

Used this auger set to dig a hole (40cm deep) for a metal post on the weekend, and it works great.I'm really glad I bought this set with the four sizes because I encountered some pebbles about 15-30cm below and being able to use different sizes helped to get through the pebbles, e.g. the smaller sizes helped to loosen the pebbles and the bigger sizes made the hole wide enough.I attached the augers to a standard cordless drill and it had adequate power for the application.Only advice is to wear an adequate pair of gloves if you're digging tough soil as I ended up have a blister on my hand - ouch!

I'd watched many Youtube video with people saying they used the plastic garden hose attachment with 10 fool pcv to "drill" under sidewalks as if it was a hard job that took 20 minutes. What a joke. After 5 hours of 3300 PSI pressure spraying to finally get a hole with a 2" center I know the plastic nozzle was never the correct tool in central texas AKA Austin area.I finally purchased these, welded 1/2 galvanized pipe to the shafts with extra fitting to get a close fit and used 72" galvanized pipe as the shaft which I chucked up in my Milwaukee Heavy Duty drill with the help of a hole cutting mandrel. The mandrel has 3/8 pipe thread. I used a 1/2 to 3/8 pipe adapter. So 2 hours later I how have a 2" diameter hole, 18 feet long. Just let to drill and auger do the work slowly. A couple of inches at a time and cleared the clay off of the auger every time I couldn't make progress. If you go a bit to far I was able to revers a tiny amount without unscrewing the pipe fittings. It would have been a "bad" day if the fitting would have disengaged! All in I spent about $100 in pipe, fittings and this 4 piece auger set. Money well spent. Of course I already had a heavy duty drill and a small welder. If you follow my example be careful of the galvanized zinc oxide fumes that will make you sick. Also note that the water from the pressure sprayer attempt left the rock hard clay a bit moist, but I waited 2 days for the pool of water to soak in and/or evaporate. There was no mud.The reason for this review is to let other know that the augers are strong enough to chew through small rocks, and rock hard black clay and survive. I was nervous about the welds breaking and leaving the metal bits 10 feet in and under the drive way. Other reviewers used these to plant bulbs in the garden.
