Nice, compact, lightweight. 4 tack welds are a little cheesy, we'll see well this holds up. But for the price, it's very good.

I had a different trap but pellets would tend to bounce out, and it was awkward to empty. This trap contains almost every pellet and the pour out easily. The included targets were a nice bonus! This trap is 6.7" and a lot of this style are only 4-5", so points for that too.

Love it , I am an experienced shooter so I shoot from about 40 yards with a .22 caliber break barrel pellet rifle rated at 1000 fps with alloy pellets. I prefer the break barrel to the PCP air rifles because I don't have to have a compressor or fancy bicycle pump to shoot it (or buy co2 cartridges either). I have safely shot the bullseye at 70 yards with the right scope and weather conditions with the pellet being caught safely by the pellet trap. Next time I'll try 100 yds. the reason I only gave it 4 stars is because at closer ranges for more inexperienced shooters, say 10 to 20 yds, there is a danger of pellet fragments coming back at you.. should you hit the edge of the trap. that being said , if you are a new to pellet guns with significant power I would invest in a larger pellet trap and then as you get better you can move to farther ranges with a smaller trap that will test your marksmanship without the danger of pellet fragments. Of course always be safe . Wear safety glasses and be aware of what's behind and around your trap. Thank's

The problem is that the bottom of the trap is only spot welded in 2 places. If they had put 4 welds it would probably be OK, but I guess welds are expensive these days. I'm shooting a medium power springer with .22 caliber lead pellets, and the bottom has broken out of the trap after about 15-20 shots.

This is a great air gun pellet trap for lower power, lower velocity guns. Shooting a 177 pellet, 10 grains at 6-700 fps this trap (15 yards) will work really well for you. However, if your shooting larger higher power pellets it will not handle that level of abuse. There is a fairly simple fix however; cut a piece of 1/4" plywood and duct tape it just behind the target opening. This piece of plywood will slow the pellets down enough to not damage your trap. If you shoot at the center a lot you will replace the plywood a lot. Move your point of impact around and it will last you 20-30 shots. Kind of annoying, but this thing is only $20! Pretty easy fix and allows for extending use.

Solid heavy gauge steel, perfect for my pump Crosman pellet gun. Does an excellent job of trapping pellets. Have not tried it with bb’s.

Several joints are welded. No screws at all. Has nicekey-holed slot in back to hand on a screw or nail.Easy to empty to. Remove from wall, turn upsidedown over garbage pail....spent lead falls rightout. Easy. Built very strong and nice. I wouldbuy another if needed.
