I purchased a 5 pack of these ink transfer syringes to see if I would like them and I REALLY like them. They are easy to use and do their job well with no leaks and only minimal ink loss to ink left in the syringe after transfer. Their best quality though, is that they are extremely easy to clean! With other items of this sort one has to repeatedly flush them with clean water until they are clean and set them out to dry before next use, these can be disassembled for quick and easy cleaning, and drying. This is a product that any calligrapher or aficionado of fountain pens should own.

These work exceptionally well for ink droppers and refilling a cartridge for a fountain pen. Some older Japanese pens only use a cart and this works great. Yah, I'm looking at you Sailor.

The Ink Syringe Filler worked perfectly. My fountain pen has its own individual ink reservoir, and I was able to fill it without problems.

I’ve been hooked on fountain pens for several years now, but filling them can be a mess. These make it so much quicker and cleaner for sure. Not a necessity for most, but I’m sorry I waited so long to purchase these. A great price too!

So honestly these things are great. I didn't want to get an ink miser for the teensy sample bottles of ink I often get, but trying to get an ink converter in small bottles is a mess. These neatly solve that problem. They splatter some if you're not careful but it's not a big deal. They're just as easy to clean as any other ink converter. I definitely recommend them.

I like that these are easily disassembled for cleaning and armed with some water and a q-tip you can use it for one ink and then clean it to use for another. However I don’t like the design of the needle attachment as ink tends to get stuck in that area. With time the springs lose their strength and they don’t fully retract which means you’ll need multiple draws to get the whole syringe full. Other than that these are ok and I use them to fill fountain pen cartridges with ink.

It is always difficult to get the last ink out of ink bottles but with this tool it works perfectly, it can also be used to refill a cartridge if your are without converter...

poorly constructed. red cap pops off easily and is hard to reattach. the needle doesn't fit on the connector. they say it's hard to attach that's charitable. they also don't come with instructions. there are not worth the trouble to return otherwise i would. intriguing idea, badly implemented.

The fittings are *very* tight, I was starting to think maybe the product was defective when I couldn't get the converter piece to go in the cartridge, and then with a little extra force it suddenly snapped in. It was also a bit tight fitting a cartridge into my fountain pen, (to the point I briefly thought it was the wrong size), but a little extra force and it went in snugly.Between that and the fact that I had difficulty drawing the full amount into a cartridge with a single pull of the spring-loaded syringe; I recommend using the method of drawing ink from the bottle with a cartridge fitted with the metal tip, and then filling a cartridge you intend to use from that one.Pulling ink into a syringe, and then removing the tip/converter may sound like a good idea in your head, but is likely a recipe for getting ink everywhere. And definitely practice the first couple times over a surface you don't mind spilling a little ink on, just in case.
