Whether it's the Moon, Jupiter or a beautiful nebula - in order to enjoy observing at the telescope you should always be comfortable. In many telescopes, that is only possible by using a star diagonal - which directs the image upwards by 45.This Astromania star diagonal has a 1.25" metal barrel. The chrome finish not only looks good, but is also practical, as the star diagonal always remains firmly attached to the focuser. The clamping screws lock the barrel firmly in place without scoring the nosepiece, as is the case with many cheaper products.

It's really well built and it would be ideal for anyone wanting a prism. I didn't want a prism, I wanted a highly reflective mirror so I sent it back. I see this company has a high grade mirror diagonal so I'll be going for that.

The one that arrived was not this one. Should be able to removeboth nosel, and nose piece. For cleaning purposes, both nosel and nose should be removable. But nose piece is painted on. I am shocked at Atsromania for this product. It should've been basically a generic of the Celestron version.

Very well made diagonal. It works great for using a small refractor as a spotting scope, the viewing angle is just right and the image isn't flipped. The one I received had a black barrel instead of a chrome one, but doesn't really make a difference so I'm not complaining.
