This a super high-quality machined radiator adapter, all the other brands use an aluminum casting, which isn’t the most accurate. This one is CNC machine and super accurate threads in perfectly and always seals. Ihigh-quality machine radiator adapter, all the other brands use an aluminum casting, which isn’t the most accurate. I bought this thinking it would fit my 1998 Jetta. It does not. Too big for the older VW tanks. It does fit my 2006 Jetta TDI so I accidentally bought something I needed.

FIRST OFF I bought this to test the cooling system on a 2005 VW JETTA 2.0 AT, worked perfectly!!! Second its made in the USA, so great tool and great price!!!! will definitely buy this brand again might need one for Mercedes.

I had previosly purchased a Harbor Freight kit for testing cooling systems. The designated adapter for Volkswagen was not a good fit and allowed pressure to slowly bleed off. Not good when trying to test for leakage. This Assenmacher adapter fit perfectly. I was hoping my kit had an adapter to seal off the Assenmacher tool. Indeed, it does, but a little fragile in use. With care, I have a working system. The Assenmacher tool is quality construction and will last many years. I did my first test with it and found my leak right away. Used it again to confirm the repair and held pressure for 10 minutes without any loss.
