One of the easiest things I have ever put together. I am legally blind and I had no issue. The first direction in the manual is wrong but you should be able to figure it out. Love the quality as well.

I got this for my daughter primarily to be able to build puzzles on. You need a large, flat surface to do so and the price for just a puzzle table didn’t make sense when you can spend the same amount and get an art table with more features than just related to puzzle building. Overall, it was fairly easy to assemble. It went super fast at first, then I hit a couple snags. The screws were difficult sometimes to screw in and most didn’t screw in fully, which isn’t too big of a problem with the exception of the piece that secures to the bottom edge of the tabletop to keep items in place. The screws stick out there some and it could potentially injure someone because the screw tops aren’t smooth at all. The second issue was Step 1 of the direction is incorrect. Don’t assemble it as shown in the directions with the tilt bracket on the inside of the pieces attached to the tabletop. They have to be secured on the outside with the washer in between the tilt bracket and wood piece (see photo). I found this out the hard when after I had assembled it as shown in the instructions and one end of the tilt bracket didn’t line up with where the other end had to go. Not a big deal but did waste a good bit of time. Also, I wasn’t sure if the large screws were supposed to be flush with the wood or not. I think they should be for safety and aesthetic purposes, but they’re not (again, see photo). Doesn’t affect functionality, but having them stick out isn’t the best design I don’t think. All that said, this is a very nice table once assembled. It’s made of very solid wood, looks super sharp and professional, and the height and tilt functions are just fantastic. My daughter paints as well and does other arts and crafts and the adjustability of the table can be adjusted to suit whatever project she’s working on. Love the bonus T-square ruler. The surface is slick, sealed well, and it should make for easy cleanup and less likelihood of staining. So with the exception of some assembly issues, this really is just a great desk/table.

I got this as I love to draw and wanted an upgrade from leaning a sketchpad at an angle on my work desk. This simple drafting table is well made from quality materials, and has all the adjustment flexibility I need to draw and any desired height or angle. It feels sturdy when assembled and looks nice in my office. The drafting square / ruler is a handy bonus. As you can see, I can fit my 18x24" sketchbook (in portrait orientation) and a 13" iPad Pro on the there at the same time. It works just as well for any paper or sketchpad smaller as well, and you can go landscape with a big pad/paper too. It is stable to work on.Minor considerations about the finished unit- No drawers or side storage. But you know that when you order it, so not dinging them for it - it's the nature of the design and actually maximizes usable drawing space.- I'd prefer if the bottom ledge went all the way across so I could put my reference material all the way out to the edge more securely.- The bottom of the feet are bare finished wood. If you put this on a hard surface, you might want to use non-slip material, rubber feet, or felt to protect the floor / make it easier to move / make it harder to move, etc.Assembly instructions are OK, but there are a few things that aren't quite right, as some other reviewers have mentioned. Here are some pointers- In step 1, unlike the picture, you need to put the arced brackets on the outside of the slats, not inside. As mentioned in another review, from outside-in it's F1 (knob), F3 (washer), slat wood, F2 (bolt). Tighten it and the bolt will seat square into round hole.- Anywhere you see a countersink on the face of a board, that's where the head of the screw or bolt rests (it's called out but still ambiguously described in step 2)- Step 8... look, it'll work fine if you follow the instructions but the washers won't be optimally placed nor will the bolts be seated flush. The way you should do it (and it is not easy because you have to get the washer in between parts where you can't hold it there) is, from outside-in, H1 (bolt), slat on table top, H2 (washer), upright (part 5), H3 (wing nut). How do you get the washer in between 2 pieces of wood? It's not easy, but it is doable. You could use a piece of tape to assist, or finish assembling per instructions (at least step 9) then go back after and fix it with the unit more fully assembled and stable.- Step 9 has the same problem - the order of hardware is not optimal and bolt will not seat fully if you follow instructions. The correct order as I see it, outside-in is I2 (bolt), upright (part 5), I3 (washer), I1 (knob). Once you tighten the knob, the bolt will seat properly.I tried to get a few shots of what it should look like, but the my pointers should help. If not, you can probably figure it out with common sense and a little trial and error. Still, it only took me about 40 minutes to build by myself. A cordless power screwdriver and/or additional set of hands will speed things up too.
