Deceptive advertising. The drafting table was listed as beech wood, the base is solid wood but the table top appears to be manufactured wood and arrived with two small chips to the table top edges, one on the upper edge and the other on a side. Added to the diappointing appearance issues since manufactured wood looks and feels different than solid wood and has poor endurance due to chipping, is the stain which is more an orange than a walnut color. I thought about returning the table, but decided to keep it because of the price which was reasonable and the good design.

This is a good product. The parts are well machined and fit together well. The top is flat, smooth, and spacious. It's an attractive addition to my front room, which has the best light.I watched the how-to-assemble video a couple of times before it arrived, and recommend others do the same. The included parts were bagged and helpfully labeled for each step. I didn't time myself but am sure it took less than an hour. That included fetching a flat-head screwdriver from the garage. The package includes two allen wrenches and a Phillips-head screwdriver; they're all you absolutely need.Assembly requires dropping round captive nuts into a hole, and it's easy for them to be turned slightly askew when you try to screw the bolt in. That's where the flat-head screwdriver came in handy. One side of the nut is slotted just so you can line things up.Adjusting the tilt is fairly easy, but requires stooping or crawling under the assembled table. Height adjustment is more troublesome. The table lies top down when the legs are attached during assembly. If you need to change the height, it is again easier with the table turned upside down. Two knobs on each side must be unscrewed, height changed, holes lined up, and knobs screwed back in. I suspect most people will find a height they like and keep it there.Update: the initial setting at the bottom of the range was slightly too low for me. Since I was adjusting, I tried the top setting before settling in the middle. Side to side stability was very good at each height; there is more back to front wobbliness at each level, worst at the top. A couple of sandbags on the feet would be effective if inelegant ballast. As with all "knock down" type furniture, it's a good idea to keep the allen wrenches handy. Every so often, check the connectors and tighten if needed. The stool is functional, but not suited for long stretches of work. Buyers will likely want something more comfortable eventually.I bought this via a Black Friday sale, but even at full price, I think buyers will be happy.

I use this table for painting. It has a large working surface to put some painting supplies, very convenient. It has a ridge on the front to keep paper from falling off.
