It is a must have if you are trying to free yourself of rental fees from cable subscribers. However, I suggest get the 3.1 version; because, that is what most cable companies are going to these days.

i Just installed the modem. The instructions said wait for green power light. Power stayed blue. There is a loose item in the modem box. I have no idea if this will cause any problems down the line. When connecting to Vyve the tech told me that this modem was showing a lot of red channels. I asked if that was good or not. He said red is not good. He added to call back if I have problems with this modem. Asked me again in a month after I have used this modem if all is going well. I have been online for about 45 minutes and all is good. Over all is was easy to set up with the help of the tech. Terry

I have yet to get an internet source. But I knew I would not be able to give a review later. Great shipping package. Well protected. If I did not know that this was a refurbished unit. I would believe it to be new. Perfect condition. Each connection was a solid contact. Power cord had plenty of length.

I received this item and plugged it in, no power. I'm having problems finding how to get my money back since this item says it is available for refund or replacement for up to 90 days under Amazon's Renewed product guarantee.One link leads to another link of information, but no way to process a return.
