I’m going to make this as straight forward and honest a review as I can. I’ve been doing this for a long time and ARB has always been a great company for all things overland but in the last 5-10 years it’s become obvious that quality control has really gone way down hill. I received the mounting kit for the rack and right away I was concerned. Cheap packing job and directions that looked as if a 4 year old had photo copied a copy of a copy. I’ve assemble these racks before so no worries, right.......... WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here’s a lesson in how cheap parts and cutting corners can ruin your time, seriously damage your ride, and become seriously dangerous in the wrong terrain. The freaking bolt plates...... the thing that actually hold the rack to the foot assembly had bad threads, sideways threading and are loosely held together. This will, and in my case, did cause a failure. Luckily for me it was in the confines of my garage and not on some trail in the smokies. This is not ok, not safe, and not acceptable. It’s not to be expected for the price you pay for ARB equipment. It seems that these days you’re paying more for the name than the build.
