The surco products seem to be cheap. I'm not completely unsatisfied i just wish someone would make something that is durable.

I purchased the SURCO Safari roof basket for my 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe. Great sturdy basket; however these brackets DO NOT WORK on my Santa Fe. After trying to securely install the brackets with the roof rack, it slides all over the place, does not hold the basket securely to the top of the car and was a waste of over $75.00. I have now taken the brackets to a machine shop two times for them to build brackets that will work on my vehicle. It is not the fault of the distributor of this part, but SURCO who I called first and they told me the specific part to order for my vehicle. IT DOESN'T WORK WITH THE HYUNDAI SANTA FE, and I would have returned the entire basket if it wasn't past the 30 day return policy. Very disappointed and now I will have to basically try to sell this roof basket 2nd hand and purchase something that will work with my vehicle. TOTAL WASTE OF OVER $400.00. :(
