I tied these bags with the rubber band around a powerhead Outlet and let the power head run overnight endless absolutely stunned by the amount of debris that these bags were able to catch and collect, so in the morning I was able to empty the bags and rinse them out and simply reuse them again until I got the desired amount of debris out of my heavily planted tank. Very convenient for my purposes, the drawstring was not that great but I used rubber bands tripled over and it worked just fine. Also, using these bags did not seem to impede the flow due to their long length, so no damage was done to the powerhead and the tank still got a decent amount of circulation while the bags were attached and full of debris.

I use these 5x9 High Flow bags over my gravel-vac (secured with twist tie) or attached to the hose outlet of gravel-vac. Small critters like Ostracods (seed shrimp) will flow through, but baby shrimp and tiny snails will not... Perfect sized mesh to protect my drains and local waterways!These bags are worth the price, made in USA and are quality. My original ones are still holding up, the only reason I'm ordering more is because I haz more tanks (it happens) :")

The aquarium filter system I purchased was not performing as expected. The water was always cloudy and stinky. By adding this media bag filled with activated charcoal and zeolite, my aquarium is crystal clear, and the water doesn't smell anymore. Such a simple addition of the Aquatic Experts Fine Aquarium Media Bag with the proper amount of charcoal and zeolite made all the difference.
