How to use the aquarium sponge filter?

Step 1

Take out the venturi nozzle.If you like Venturi nozzles, you don't need to do anything.

Step 2

Install the rain hose.It comes as a separate accessory in the box.

Step 3

Adjust the height of the rain pipe, it is recommended that the rain pipe is slightly higher than the water surface.

No need to connect additional air pump, aquarium filter only needs to be plugged into the power source to start working.
Sponges can be reused,suggest waiting 2 weeks after installation, removing 1 side for cleaning and the following week do the other side, essentially cleaning or replacing 1 sponge per week.
This filter is not great for turtles .

Perfect for my small tank. Low flow but still aerates the water well. Adjustable too so if you don't need as much aeration and don't want the noise, you can do that also.

Pros:Quiet, nice waterfall feature, a decent amount of surface area, and no airline tubes to tangle up.Cons:Cheap plastic, flimsy. I broke a connector piece, but it still seems to work. Also, the unit itself arrived filthy. Not used, but dirty like it had been on the warehouse floor. Took me a while to clean it. Had to take a star off for that.

I’ve only had this product for about two months now and at first it was working great. I have a 10 gallon tank. I clean every two weeks, including cleaning out the filter. Even though I do maintenance on my aquarium for my turtles, this filter still went out after only two months of use.

I gotta say, I loved the filter for about 2 months. Did a great job at filtering out nastiness but quit working after about 2 months. I took it apart a cleaned it up. You can feel the motor humming but it won't move any water. I guess the impeller shaft broke. Maybe I got the bad one of the batch.
