Directions for Use:
1. Cut the tubing to the length needed.
2. Attach the airline into the pump; connect the air stone to the other end of airline.
3. Place the pump above the aquarium or bucket if possible. Or you need to add a check value (the blue valve) between air pump and air stone to prevent back siphoning.
4. Plug the pump in. Remember to create a "drip loop" for the power cord.

I use this in a 5.5 gallon tank. Pumps very well but can be noisy if set on a solid surface. I put it on a towel and greatly reduced the noise but you’ll still know it’s in the room. I will purchase a higher quality unit that is quieter for my 5.5 gallon tank (I have 2 other air pumps in the same room and you can’t hear them at all) and use this pump for a backup/hospital tank. It’s relatively cheap so you get what you pay for with this pump.

I am happy with the pump performance. I have mine providing additional aeration in a 20 gallon tank. However, as many have stated, the hose does not stay on. The reason is that the hose provided is too soft. This is not the standard hose one would normally purchase. It is simply a poor substitute. Solution, buy better hose or find another pump choice. I chose to keep the pump and buy 25’ for $4 from Walmart. Problem solved.

No instructions provided. I attached the backflow in the wrong direction at first, so had to redo it. The very flimsy hose makes it very hard to attach the stone and the backflow valve. It's cheap and does what I need it to do, but it is a very noisy/loud little pump.

The small piece to attach to the end of the hose making it possible to attach to the motor is missing in all three boxes that I ordered. Not happy with this product and would not recommend buying it.
